Just bought a DocuSign call dated right after their next earnings, which is 12/3. I think they still have legs to grow. They have a 70% market share on e-signing. Nobody is even close.

Share price for etfs and individual company stocks may gap up or down at premarket open depending on buy or sell interest that day. Premarket is normally low volume and it's not necessarily wise to attempt to buy in during it as price can rapidly shift after opening bell with the much higher volume. That's how you get the classic gap up sell off within first hour of the session. So don't think you're getting screwed somehow by not trading after hours and premarket. However, if you want to trade during those periods you may be able to if your broker allows.

Now as for leveraged ETFs, they are tied to the benchmark they track. So, say you have a 3x S&P etf and the S&P does a gap up open that day. Your 3x version will open at approximately triple the movement the S&P has made relative to the closing price of the previous day. eg, S&P opens +0.50, leveraged etf opens about +1.50.

at that point I'd just hold - are you really going to be happier with a $4500 loss than a $6000 loss? And imagine if you sold and it COOMED to $20 or something after Trump wins - you ate a $4500 loss just to see it moon after, that feels MUCH shittier than just taking a loss.

idk, you have 3 options:
a) let it bleed, if hits 0, you'll gain a lesson (if smart), it'll hurt for a while, then will save some $ and try another swing at trading (this time more careful)
b)sell now, gain a lesson (if smart) and still have 1.5k for more careful trades
c)hold and if somehow it bounces, you'll think that that's the way to go and will repeat the same mistake further down the road (but next time it wont bounce)
