>Selling bitcoin ever
brainlet move. Imagine converting bitcoin to fiat and then having to pay taxes on your bitcoin gains.
Just take out a loan with bitcoin as collateral to pay for living expenses. That way you can hold bitcoin whilst you enjoy your life. If bitcoin appreciates whilst you have the loan you pay off the loan and profit from it since it prevented you from selling your bitcoin.

Alternatively you could in 5-10 years from now lend out your bitcoin for interest risk free and live off the interest from it.

Even if you still have to sell some bitcoin to help buy a house or something you should consider these options to maximise how long you hold your bitcoins.

>if I hadn't continually made bad trading calls, I'd be up 10k on my initial investments in september instead of being down 1.4k

I'm a bad trader.

Being a profitable trader is possible just like being a neurosurgeon is possible. It's very difficult however if you understand what bitcoin is and you just buy and hold it you have a good chance of winning.
