> Ocean
probably just hype that will die off rather quickly and dump back
> Golem
After years of being (perceivedly) behind iexec, they actually have turned the company around and have gone all in on community building and adoption with research institutes is already happening. Don't have a bag yet, but it might be time soon to admit that they are winning against the "private enterprise adoption on private marketplaces with no public workers, but actually mostly unrelated consulting gigs" approach iexec seems to be taken

> RNDR
got a bag of this, its one of the very few tokens with large scale adoption and big name backing. However they don't give too much of a shit of what the tokenholders think and is more or less unknown. If they manage to get the coinbase listing, it will KEK iexec for sure. If not, it will stay rather obscure.

> SNOW
Not a competitor.

Not mentioned: Dfinity. They are soon launching their blockchain and have been working quietly with an extremely large team for the last years, with what seems, monumental progress. This will probably the one that absolutely KEKS all other computing projects.

So yeah, not looking to good for Gilles' little academic experiment.

iExec is an IQ test, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoNLt5mu_3Y . There is no competition like it. Dfinity is a good project but not really a competitor per se. iExec keeps expanding and expanding its project with use cases not directly related to cloud computing, like Decentralized Oracles, datasets trading, Apps trading etc.

And none of them are being used because they don't have the production quality vs. others. Jack of all trades, master of none

>> No.23569267

>>23569227
they are not being used YET since they just finished the product, now they can work on adoption, and all the pieces of the puzzle can come together now. They have the technology, the partnerships and they will keep building and building, Apple didn't go from zero to hero in the blink of an eye, it's all about odds, and these look damn good to me. It seems odd you complain about production quality when the project is all about setting quality standards by one of the best and sophisticated academic teams in crypto.

NVIDIA’s Inception program is a virtual accelerator that helps startups during critical stages of product development, prototyping, and deployment. With NVIDIA, iExec will explore how blockchain can leverage the AI Edge computing platform 'EGX' and accelerate the support of NVIDIA components in the Marketplace.

So Ocean getting a shitty bank worth about 36 billion reserves is going utilize it to swap some shitty statistics is a big deal, but iExec working closely with a 320 billion dollar company is not? I am confused here.

I think they have a lot to offer besides developing their own project, although in the recent interview they clearly indicated they want a dominant position in the cloud computing maret. So all these partnerships either benefit iExec directly or indirectly. If their name becomes established amongst IBM, NVIDIA, Microsoft etc. etc. and they love iExec there is a lot more to be gained than working in isolation and begging for help constantly. This team has a lot of knowledge and experience at the highest level.
