That's what I read on the internets. Basically they just use the van to sleep in (close to their work) and store their things. Go to the gym in the morning, work out, take a shower and then go to work. Use the toilet at work and charge their devices, have dinner out after work (since they can now afford it), take a shit in a public toilet and then go to bed and repeat. When I was much younger I lived in a shared house and the shower and toilet were absolutely filthy so I basically did the same thing. Once you saved up enough money you upgrade the van, add a power system, add a toilet/shower etc...

Moving back to London. 2 bed flat, SUPER cheap because of the rona – knew when to snap it up and what areas to look into (pulled out 3 years of London rent fluctuations, looked into effects of money pulling out of London etc. Nov is the best month to lock in new tenancy contracts). Victorian built, modern refurb. I have a fucking built in wine cooler. Not a studio flat, split level over two floors and not a houseshare.

I work minimum 2 days a week for myself and that's enough for me to live there without compromising on lifestyle while building up all of my stacks so I can buy land in the Highlands and build my own house. I don't even have to move to London, it's just a stopgap to increase earning power and be among the right type of influence.

Not going to dox myself since lived in a very special place, but when I lived in London I lived right smack in the middle of it just off Regents Street and was paying £1,500 a month for a flat with no kitchen (still had a 30-45 minute commute with the fucking tube to the City though).

It was worth it for the location and I was making a fair bit of money for London wageslave standards (£85k), but I will never ever go back unless I'm on at least £200k. I do not understand how people deal with living in that shithole of a city.
