Because you can't get higher. It's literally impossible to get more APY than HEX allows due to how HEX interest gets compounded on longer stakes.

What does that mean? Stakers dump? What's my incentive as a potential new buyer to buy in now if stakers dump in 3.5 weeks? It's this, Lition, XinFin or Digital Bits that I'm looking at as potential longtermers and I'm not looking to get dumped on. The better a real usecase it has the better, coins that simply print money are not sustainable in the longest of terms.

How much did you initially invest that you think hodling from 2019 to 2035 is a great idea? Does the project rely on constant upward motion over that period? Is liquidity locked? If I dropped 1 eth and staked for 15 years, where would that be assuming eth doesn't shit the bed and cease to exist?

HEX only seems to differ from stocks in that the government will probably end up arresting any crypto developer who doesn't comply once the IRS begins serving tax liens on them. >Its a currency coin thats supposed to be "better mousetrap" tokenomics.

That's not even a half bad description.

Here's what HEX is: it's just an ERC20 token. You can receive it, send it, hold it. And that's about it. It has one additional defining gimmick though: it tries to incentivize people that have some tokens to "lock them up" for a period of time. How does it do that? By paying them a bonus for it. The longer you lock it up, the more. Where's this bonus coming from? From inflating the currency by a fixed amount (3.69% annualized, or something like that). So if you don't lock yours, they'll lose their value somewhat relative to those that do. End of story.

Is this useful? About as useful as all the other Bitcoin variants I'd say. At least in principle. In practice, this would only be useful if enough people actually used it in that way. The locking mechanism could be seen as an anti-dump facility that provides some transparency into how many people are willing to spend their tokens right away or save them for later. Which is at the very least an interesting idea.

Will it succeed in any way? Even if it's associated with a scummy figure? Probably not, but who knows. It's no worse than a fucking joke like Bitcoin SV and that's been in or near the top ten since years.
