I did shooms yesterday and went on a conspiracy trip thinking the whole global stock market was fixed and against me. So I sold almost my entire portfolio.
I woke up and looked at all my tabs opened and I'm starting to think I was maybe right.

I wouldn't call it manipulation but you're just not informed or fast enough to win. The best trading firms* use information theory in their models. They're not even looking at the markets the same way most people do. They're using vast quantities of data to determine how one basket of stocks move in relation to another and bet on that. Thus far it seems like this is the only strategy that has consistently crushed the markets over time.
