I'm waging 2 jobs, and the only thing keeping me going is remembering what I'm doing it for. If I had a reset button, I'd go into school counseling or something, that is, not wavering in the face of the Mt. Everest that is academia. School is fucking expensive and I would have had to start over like half my damn degree. Payed my way through out of pocket though. I think we, in particular, thrive on finding purpose.

Unfortunately at this point I just dont think it's in the cards for me. In the intrest of brevity, too much life stuff in the way. Maybe later, but not today. Med is pretty good, nursing can be a lucrative and relatively quick path. My gf is an MA and wants to go back for that once we settle down somewhere, shes been told that some offices will help pay for schooling etc. Just be wary of that empathy burnout. In the meantime I'll just wage and invest.
