PayPal is adding the ability to BUY and SELL crypto on its platform. It is also adding the ability to HOLD crypto in PayPal wallets, and use crypto for shopping purchases as you would normally with USD or other fiat.

It's not will they use CL, those eth swap dudes already made the adaptor/groundwork. The problem was a TOS grey area because PayPal was officially against crypto until I guess today.

PayPal won't use CL on their backend for anything (I mean, not until everything else in the world is forced to), but it's that CL can effectively already leverage PP as an on/off ramp trustlessly, today. And now your account won't get banned/locked for it.

Bringing crypto assets into institutional control is an important first step. You've got to get the normies holding crypto into the system so you can get them to use KYC+AML+Inflationary coins which are central bank approved.

They'll roll FedCoin out on this and Coinbase, and others. Bit by bit they'll turn the crank, and shut off routes to turn approved money into unapproved money. It'll quickly become a one-way street.

I have an online store.
Are there details? I have had a page where people can use crypto to pay me for years. No takers.
Do I need to accept the terms on my end? I'll figure it out. Just wondering.
Most won't want to sell their good for crypto at least to start.
So will PayPal do a switcheroo and exchange USD for ETH/BTC etc and be the middle man with fees?

and do you think these guys have blockchain on there mind? you can literally google up some blogposts start a ''consulting business'' and deliver them the most mundane bullshit and they will eat it up. once staking goes live and it will never stop to go up until its the most valueable network on earth.

Because of PayPal now we are bullish? You used to be able to buy bitcoins with PayPal before it was sold on an exchange. Back when Bitcoin was anonymous and there wasn't a billion different coins.

PayPal accepting and allowing you to spend crypto is PayPal becoming an exchange.

>>23411118
PayPal distributing with KYC adds another roadblock to freedom from central banks because PayPal is essentially a banking service.

What is the point if PayPal has custody? Decentralization was always a meme then.

It is middleware yes, but the token is still useless

Imagine this situation, I have a smart contract that needs to use an Oracle to get some off-chain data. As the developer I choose chainlink

I'll setup my Chainlink node, deploy the Oracle contract they provide and setup the dataprovider bullshit. Now I buy the 0.1 LINK and give it to my smart contract so it can use my new Chainlink Node

However, here's the kicker. I'll just make my Smart contract an owner of the Oracle contract. Now my smart contract can withdraw all the LINK from the Oracle contract! Now when my smart contract needs to use my Oracle, it'll send the correct amount of LINK. If it doesn't have enough, it'll withdraw it from the same Oracle contract (since it's an owner) and send it back.

This dance can now happen until the end of time. All for the cost of 0.1 STINKY LINKY. I don't even need to use STINKY LINKY! I can configure my Chainlink node and Oracle contract to use my own shitcoin, and have my smart contract and Oracle trade that back and forth forever :)

Token Useless

It's not p2p if it's not from your btc wallet to your friend's btc wallet. Having an intermediary is the same as using wrapped Bitcoin on Ethereum. A custodian handles the transaction? Fuck that. Not your keys, not your coins.

PayPal goes down like Coinbase often does, then what? Bitcoin is not in the adoption cycle. Still speculation.

When I first saw the PayPal news and read about it I was disappointed to learn it's just a PayPal sub-account; denominated in crypto but that you can't withdraw from. Then I noticed this LinkPal post.

NANO is the only crypto that's feeless, instant, green, scalable, and decentralized (more so than Bitcoin now). Because it's low cap, some CEO is going to add it like santa clause added Bitcoin to Steam, to pump it and make a trillion dollars. The sick thing is, it'll work because it can work. So if you don't own any for when whichever CEO decides to pump it 20,000x, you're a fucking idiot.
