Ive been a broke cunt for a long time.
I recently got a job that pays me $1k/week, filed my overdue tax returns, sold some drugs, and in total Im about to be paid approximately $5000
What should I do? I dont want to be a bum anymore. Not looking for a get rich quick scheme either

Honestly, pick a 5 top 10 coins and throw $1k into each. When stimulus passes, we're probably gonna moon a bit.

Go stonks then and DCA.
Or wait till you have at least 20k and build a portfolio of crypto, with at least 5k in different new shit/memecoins. Some will rocket anyway making you rich, cuz there are enough retards believing in cry-pto as shown by the entirety of this board.

but you will continue to be a bum. and you know it. your tone makes it obvious. so buy useful things with that money.a van with solar panels perhaps. if you can equip yourself with a phone and a free way to charge it, your only other absolute human-right-tier need is food and shelter. so maybe a van or a tent. spend any remaining money on tinned food.
i started with a moped, a laptop and a tent. solar panels all those decades ago were useless, but i charged batteries via a dynamo. those precious moments of internet access through mobile networks (as well as library books) allowed me to learn HTML and build some sites to conjure some income. have never worked a day for an employer, and following this approach from the age of 16, gradually adding to my various resources, has now landed me a house covered in solar panels and energy efficient stuff. so i continue to plod along, as self-sufficient as possible always. the only people who have ever really helped me are foodbanks, but im pretty sure those can be relied upon at least for a while, so i don't fear becoming reliant upon them. the thought of relying on any human for any other thing fills me with horror, but after all these years im still not homeless and never have been.

If boomers are saying that, they are actually right. I fucking hate my generation. I am 31 and my net worth is close to $1mil. I started my own business when I was 24, bought my first apartment when I was 27. I was working 16 hours a day, 7 days a week. I never really went out but I always hated partying and stuff like that so I wasn't really giving up anything. The point is, there is always a way to make it if you really want to make it. No all I'm saying is that these snowflakes can't sacrifice anything to achieve a better life. Friends of my friends flex on instagram everytime they travel to a foreign country or eat out in a fancy restaurant. Some of them lost their jobs during the pandemic and they are broke now and blame the system. I'm fucking tired of it.

a tent in the woods is much like a camping trip. one night on the streets is HELL.
i knew some homeless people there, lowestoft it was, this guy carl (pic) lives on the streets... and i mean look at the fucking state of him. unlike him ive never woken to being robbed, set on fire, pissed on or just beaten up for no reason. a thin layer of fabric legitimately separates you from the perils of the universe in much the same way as a brick wall. its nothing like being homeless.

I have no idea. I always thought when I had X of money I would slow down and take it easy but I never did. I completely changed my attitude and the way I look at money. Also you have to figure out what is really important to you in life and go after it. I always knew I just want to have enough money to feel comfy. To me money is freedom. I don't even spend money or expensive shit. I just think boomers are kinda right when they say "save up the money you spend on your pumpkin latte everyday and you will be able to afford a house". If your instagram image / expensive clothes / expensive car is more important to you than owning a property or having some passive income then so be it. Just don't cry about it.
