With Arcologies, underground cities, and O'neil cylinders, no asset will be more valuable than rural land and wildeness. Selling your land = selling you families generational wealth.

This. My 13 surrogate test tube children will inherit my crypto fortune and 1000s of acres of rural land that surround my Citadel.

Well, over the next few centuries and beyond, assuming we don't nuke ourselves into oblivion or kill civilization with global warming, we will develop fusion energy, create super structures, and mine asteroids. it will eventually become cheeper to live in single-building cities, underground cities, or in space habitats than to own territory on earth with nature and stuff. As the population grows, it will be surface Earth territory that will appreciate in value like crazy.

Nature will be worth far more than gold.

Also, Gold will be quite useless. But did you know you will likely be able to mine precious metals with trees long before asteroid mining is a thing?

Sounds like something I'd invest into if somebody gets around to building a tree-mining company.

assuming alot. first of all the only countries that will even be capable of taking the mantle of advancing humanity scientifically have negative birthrates or stagnant birthrates. the population is increasing but the birthrates are pretty much entirely from africa.

only Africa's going to get more crowded.

Countries need to incentivise their population to breed more and that includes giving them economic assets so they can afford it. The japanese for instance are just plain worked to death.

Population growth is over.
Every developed country is below replacement.
Every "developing" shithole is only propped up by the charity of the developed world.
The US is on the verge of total societal dissolution and there is noone to take its place.

The population of Japan could half and they would still have 10x the population of Ireland. Stop buying into Keynesian madness and accept the world can function with negative popularion growth,

This all depends in fusion and fusion isn't working. It's been like 80 years since they started trying so I would bet another 80 years until it really works. Also people are really fucked up lately and going down hill. Fat, mentally ill, and not reproducing. That needs to turn around pretty soon. I attribute a lot of it to diet, especially high PUFAs but also other stressors like all types of pollution.
