The team behind the token and CCG has worked on numerous video game projects such as Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Indiana Jones, The Pokemon TCG Online and many others. So expect a higher level of quality and detail in these NFTs. The team expects to rival competitors such as $MEME and $SAM with the quality of their work.
Cards are being released as we speak with the intention to have a working Alpha version of the online game in 2021. A physical version of the card game will also be available.

If they created a new program or integrated the tech into Online or Arena they could theoretically pull it off if the investing incentive was properly marketed. As you noted though HAS currently looks creatively bankrupt. I invest in MTG on the side but I think the past year or so has yielded products that will not age well on the secondary market. With HAS's current absolute state though that will likely come to an end.
