You have not given any indication one way or the other. You also haven't given any reason as to why 2.0 coming out would cut the DOT user base in half. I pointed out that merely deploying 2.0 phase 0 means nothing for how eth works as people can't use it for smart contracts.

a LOT of ETH users are using DOT as a counterweight in the case ETH never gets released, since both systems have several
similarities (polka is pretty much seen as a beta-eth 2.0)

so, as soon as ETH actually releases ETH 2.0, they will lose their complete interest in DOT, hence the potential dump.

Maybe I extrapolated a bit given the timing of the thread. My point is what most people think "release of 2.0" is (coming very soon), isn't a full release. The full release is years away, hence any traders dumping their DOT held as a hedge isn't happening soon.
