A new civic/corolla will last forever and you don't have to worry about what the previous owner did. Also financing for cars is like 1.9%, that's practically nothing.
Would rather have a problem free new vehicle for 15 years than roll the dice with used every 3-5 years. Plus all that money I didn't spend on a car I invested.

Depends what you buy. A $30k car will end up depreciating but a $150k classic probably won't. Ive been looking into financing a ferrari, works out at roughly $1k a month to drive the car or your dreams.

I think you need to realise not everyone is an incel neet who wants to live penny pinching. Some people enjoy nice things.

Net worth is a meme. I know people who have million dollar houses but haven't got 2 pennies to rub together, technically they're all net worth millionaires ( its how burger land has more millionaires than any other country, 18 million millionaires -fun fact) don't get caught up in the net worth argument, its all about monthly income and liquidity. I'd say don't spend more than 10% of your monthly income on car, if you've got more than $10k a month coming in then go for your life

>> No.23337241

>> No.23337253

I've had the same car for 13 years now (07 civic)
I paid a little less than 18k for it, and financed for 3 years with 0 out of pocket at 1.9%.
The total cost was about $18,540 with interest.
So if you wanna break that up, it's cost me roughly $1426 a year so far to drive this car. That number only goes down the longer i keep it and I intend to for at least two more years. I know every single piece and part that went in and out of it, I know it wasn't driven by some 16 year old who can't drive, and I know it has no accidents or women who don't take care of it in it's life.
Can you say the same of a used car?
Depreciation is negligible if you don't intend to sell it.

Since people in the thread are talking about cars they want/have, I used to want picrelated since you could get them used for the "cheap" price of $25,000, I don't really want one anymore because it's a gas guzzler. Most people I know buy used unless they're made out of money; most new cars are a scam now because of all the useless entertainment shit they pack in in exchange for making the car less reliable, especially American cars. No one in the US is selling a lot of new cars except for fleet cars or luxury shit.

I treat my cars like shit a few weeks after the novelty wears off, I have always wanted a muscle car weekend cruiser, but I would probably end up neglecting that too.

My weekly moonshot channel “Uniswap Chads” previously brought you:

Bnsd finance, 380%+ pump. (Hot tip)
Mafia.network, 35%+ pump. (Moonshot)
Chess coin, 100%+ pump. (Moonshot)
DogeFi, 100%+ pump. (Moonshot)
UniCrapToken, 120%+ pump. (Moonshot)
AllianceBlock, 55%+ pump. (Hot tip)
BaconSwap, 220%+ pump. (Moonshot)
Toast.Finance (House) 125%+ pump. (Moonshot)
Fiscus FYI (FFYI) 60%+ pump. (Moonshot)

I do weekly moonshots and 500+ chads have already joined my channel and many of them are already profiting from these epic pumps!

I am making my own set of rare, limited edition, NFT’s which will be distributed to the people in my channel. The use case of these NFT’s will be announced once they have had a few weeks to become more distributed (I will give away 6 NFT’s per week). If you are lucky enough to win one of these rare NFT’s I might suggest not selling them cheap, or you may find that you seriously regret it once I announce what makes them so valuable.

Next week’s call is going to be an ultra-low cap coin with STRONG pumpamemtals!! I'm predicitng a MASSIVE pump.

good question...problem is I don't live in a major urban area so I can't see much resale value. I've only seen three Teslas whilst out and about, although a gas station not far from me put in 12 fast EV chargers.

having a shitty car that is still in working condition is the best. you dont have to worry about people scratching it. you can do stupid stuff in it like slam into curbs all day and not care.
