If you gents don't mind me asking, what are some reasons you would choose to work with or not work with an idea/money guy on a startup? I have a few big ideas, great marketable domains and business names, have a lot of experience as a biz owner, and have a lot of money, but no tech ability.

in my particular case, I have known the guy for 4 years and I joined his start up and then left. he's very successful and the same age. I know first-hand the type of connections he has and the value of his business. we basically have giant customers ready to use our platform when it's ready.

if I were to find another money/ideas guy, the equity split would need to be fair and i'd need to see value in the idea. developing a platform takes a fuck load of work and time.

If the money guy is the type that think he can build the next twitter for $3, then it's a waste of time.

i don't know - there's a lot of factors. you'd probably have more luck finding a dev adjacent to one of your circles rather than a random person

If all else fails we are hoping we can use them as a portfolio and try to pick up clients and work as contractors. I save popular memes from 4chan, categorize, and then host them on my website. Its been up for around a year now and has steadily grown to 250-300 unique users per day. I've gotten around 1000 BAT between user contributions and browser downloads using my link so I'm getting close to breakeven. When I have enough sessions I'll try to get approved by some better ad sites like mediavine to generate more revenue.
