Blockchains do not have access to off-chain data that varies. This is because time-variable data fucks up the consensus.
So you need an entity (called "oracle") to periodically push that data on the chain, so contracts on the chain can reference it safely. This is what Chainlink does.

Lition in particular would need a LIT price oracle to ensure to their customers that the fee they pay is always the same, regardless of price changes in the LIT token.

I liked the transparency the team (especially devs) showed. I wrote this on Telegram about two important things the devs said in the AMA:

"- Node operators need to be known by the team until they come up with a technical governance solution (the ability to remove bad actors automatically)

I thought they made it obvious what would be on their late 2020/2021 roadmap:
- Continued integration into their energy business and new document verification sidechain (likely 4-6 weeks)
- Automated governance solution to allow any node operator into their network safely (this will drastically reduce the demands on the team to vet node operators and expand their network)
- Another Level 1 integration (likely Tomochain)

What I liked about what Richad/Kyung said:

- Richard said to expect a Mainstream exchange listing at the end of the month (they are currently negotiating the terms).
- Richard took my question about how they plan to use team tokens and he mentioned increased marketing as a main use.
- Richard stated that the Lition organization will not need to continue reimbursing stakes for the genesis phase, since they will be making enough in transaction fees to cover that cost.
- Kyung teased a major announcement/partnership happening in two weeks.

I wasn't overwhelmed with Docmosis (since it isn't a big name) but I'm happy to see another production use case.

The AMA was fun wasn't it? The new partnership (docmosis) is a bit of a nothing burger on face value, but what it does is open up the door for similar forms of tech to run through the Lition side chain, transforming Lition from a proof of concept into a proof of work. And most importantly transforms the Lition token from simply an energy utility token into something far more greater.

Docmosis essentially create documents, contracts and reports etc. Honestly it sounds like a glorified Microsoft Word/Excel but with fancy templates for boomers to use. The service is used by customers in over 20 different countries and is used within software applications in various industries such as finance, legal, medical and defence etc

So although the service is very simple, Lition being the layer 2 sidechain behind all the transfers of this data is rather bullish. Especially considering they have current partnerships with Volksbanken (Finance) and Lawpilots (legal)

This is all theory, but it seems like a good proof of work for the team before onboarding their larger partners onto the Lition Blockchain.

And don't get me started on SAP. Just go on their website and hover over their services and industries tab to get an idea on what the potential of the Lition Blockchain is. Remember, Juergen Mueller co-wrote the whitepaper, and it wouldn't be too farfetched to believe that Lition is essentially being co-developed by SAP. A conspiracy theorist could also go as far as to say that Lition could become SAP's official Blockchain.
