I saw an older woman get a job that I wasn't even considered for. I did the subordinate position of that job which was nearly the same tasks. Who got it? Some woman who had little understanding of the job. SO MANY TIMES I SEE WOMEN GET A POSITION ONLY TO SEE THEIR RESUMES AND BE SURPRISED IM QUESTIONED WHEN THERES ARE LITERAL ESSAYS FOR EACH POSITION! I didn't even get considered for the job even after the first person retired and spoke of me well, a woman who would get mad at the low quality of others whod handle the work and was quite vocal about it. The woman who temporarily steped in to handle her work also liked my quality, also quite vocal. YET a woman who didnt touch it anywhere near as much as me got an interview!? I ended up having to help her every now and then while I stayed in a lowly positon being pushed around doing other menial tasks and having to help the other person (someone also at a higher position than me) do their job because they couldnt comprehend such a simple task. Ended up quitting.

Had I gotten that job I'd very likely have stopped job searching for years. I was comfortable in the tasks but hated being pushed around due to management not knowing how to do the very task I was passed over on and made to do said tasks or help in it all while being paid close to minimum wage and treated like a rabid dog. At least if i got it i wouldnt be pushed around by lower management that was clearly power hungry freaks
