It depends on your definition of the word short. Do you mean literally or is this just commentary? If you don't think that California is going to continue to be a burgeoning economic monster, you are dead. California by itself has the fifth largest economy in the world.

I love Elon Musk (and Rogan), but he's not going to start this megatrend of money leaving California. California economically hasn't changed much since he originally arrived. So why did he come to Cali in the first place? There are many other states and successful countries with higher taxes.

From a social perspective, the far left can get annoying at some times, but they're really just young and idealistic. The fantasy of some sort of apocalypse stemming from social unrest or antifa or whatever is just a great way for the media to make money. It's overblown and fickle.

I was sent to CA for two years while in the military. Ended up staying another two years after I got just to keep surfing. The SoCal surfing experience is so good it was worth sharing a house with five people 10 minutes from the Beach in Orange County. I still bounced eventually. People in Socal are aggressive af.
