Last epoch (an epoch is approx 1 month) paid about $250 in BTC. So if BTC goes to $100K, that's $2.5K. If darknode usage grows and more chains are added, then this figure could be even higher. The biggest problem is currently the team holds admin keys so it's still centralized, but that should be phased out soon enough.

REN's present solution is like taking a seed key and splitting the words between people. They're promising to move to a decentralised but this will require years of development. Meanwhile other teams are preparing to release their own fully decentralised solutions.
