Defi market is so frustrating in general. You either:

1) Get rugged
2) Late to the party (i.e. 5 minutes after initial sale) at which point the gains are gone and you just get dumped on or crab
3) Get early into a genuinely decent project, only for clones to pop up the day after which draws everyone looking for "the next X!" who missed out, which drains fomo momentum from the project.

Core is the parent example at the moment. Gifted to biz first by the devs, great project, new idea. Copied as encore within days by that dickhead cyotee and a chink 14 year old (cyotee gets project-pulled as karmic punishment and booted from the project though). Momentum shifts to Decore. IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS, decore pops up, and completely kills encore dead. Decore momentum has stalled now, as all the hype and big pump gains are gone.

Depends on the contract, but in essence you are just giving someone eth and hoping they don't fuck off with it. Almost all of these projects are anonymous devs, so the risk is INCREDIBLY high. But lately, they have been getting more and more creative with their naming and website design, so its harder to discern the genuine projects from the scams.

Amplyfy and Desire were obvious in hindsight, and I caught desire as bullshit but I got hard in amplyfy. Funny thing is I knew pretty much straight away I had fucked up big time, but other people here were telling me it would be fine, I'd be rich, we'd all make it.

I see this happen a lot. I don't know how I've made it this far. Landmines explode all around me, so many investments and shit tokens I've considered throwing 5K into get rugged after I decide to opt for something else.

It's as if there's a bullet with all of our names on it, and we'll eventually see it, or get pulled out of this madness with a solid project with a good use-case.
