I think this volatility is just part and parcel of silver microcaps. Personally, I look at the prices everyday when it crosses my mind, but it doesn’t really many anything at this juncture because silver is crabbing, gold hasn’t seen a massive influx of panic investors, the dollar hasn’t pooped itself, no major downturn, etc. What I’m saying is, there hasn’t yet been a catalyst event that’s been strong enough to send metals prices skyward, so to that end, the price movements of miners, currently, are kind of irrelevant. They are a buy and long term hold (minimum 2 years, perhaps a decade+).

Word is getting out about Canada Silver Cobalt Works. Up at 16% in anticipation of an announcement which hasn't even happened. It was also interesting to see Dolly Varden go up 22% today at the peak, in reaction to drilling results which had already been released several days ago. Personally I am hoping for silver to stay lower for quite a while longer so I can accumulate more. But I dont think that's going to happen

>>23158505
Topkek this is literally the bankers setting up for government bailouts. The formula is simple. Lend to people who won't pay back and then ask the taxpayer to foot the bill. Yes bullish for PMs in the sense that the dollar will be inflated further since the loans will not be paid back or the government will print more money to do so.

>>23158553
Bullish because fractional reserve lending is one of the 2 ways money is put into circulation. Other is through fed buying government bonds. These loans won't be paid back for the most part as they by nature the loans will go against their "safe" lending paractices.

Once silver gets past $30, there isn't a doubt in my mind that Bayhorse will quickly double, and that's simply the start. The depreciation in the share price right now is temporary, and arises from a combination of the recent private placement, along with angry old shareholders, who are throwing a tantrum because production isn't happening as quickly as they wanted. It is remarkable that the share price has even held where it is, at -25% from the local peak, just like many other silver stocks, e. g. First Majestic. Graeme O'Neil's decisions ensure that BHS will go far higher, not less high, from now onward. The other properties which he has acquired only make the company infinitely more valuable, not less so; and every ounce of silver at Bayhorse Mine which hasn't been sold so far, will now be sold in future, at far higher silver prices.

>Tinka- financial side looks good but they arent really doing anything and havent done anything. Theyre not really working the properties they have and no major updates in terms of actually working their property.

This was announced yesterday:

Tinka Commences Drilling at the Ayawilca Zinc-Silver Project

https://ceo.ca/@accesswire/tinka-commences-drilling-at-the-ayawilca-zinc-silver

You mentioned Viscount Mining's 5 million ounces, 7 million inferred. TK has 20 million silver ounces indicated, another 38 million inferred, and they are now beginning to drill for more in the Colqui Silver Zone. They already have one of the best zinc projects in the world, with 7 billion pounds of zinc, and were formerly considered a zinc stock with a silver bonus; but a rising silver price will make them a silver stock with a zinc bonus, and Carman is trying to take the company in that direction. Viscount mcap = $31 million, Tinka mcap = $64 million. Both Viscount and Tinka are sleeping giants, but Tinka is particularly interesting, because Buenaventura already bought a 20% stake at 0.24 CAD, when silver was only $18, and zinc was lower. The share price is actually _down_ 20% since that point. In other words, the rise in zinc and silver not merely hasn't been priced in, it has been completely neglected.

>It is very, VERY rare to get good financial advice from family. Even people with good jobs are financially illiterate and too afraid to learn themselves.
They're not illiterate or even bad at managing economy, they just don't know about investing too much. They know that there are risks involved and they're afraid that I'll burn my money away which is understandable of course. They suffered and got through the 1990's depression here in Finland and are living in a big house in a beautiful, small suburban area surrounded by forestry and they go on vacations every year. They've essentially made it with classic hard work, and are unfamiliar with investing, other than real estate (they rent out a few apartments while paying for the mortgages). I asked them what they would do if real estate markets crashed and they just told me that they'll just keep getting payments from the tenants (which my parents also choose carefully).

I guess it's just such a far-off idea to them. People tend to think about what's in front of them after all. I'm worried they won't be getting decent retirement allowances too and that isn't even because of the economic state of things, just because of the population structure. There are so many things they should start doing to protect their economy but they seem to think their real estate holdings and pension allowances will suffice. I sincerely hope so too

Actually my father ran a house-building business with my uncle. The business went under during the depression in the 1990's and my parents got fucked in the ass by the government when they couldn't pay their mortgages anymore. My uncle restarted real estate business later and is still at it (though he retired last year because he was just that well off, he's back at it again because not having any work was boring him), my dad became a firefighter and is now a fire chief.
Real estate has worked for my parents pretty well even though it slapped them on the wrist in the 90's. You'd think they would be more wary of the risks after what they had to go through though. They probably think that they've seen the worst of it, while I think the worst is yet to come

Share priced remained at 0.75 CAD until today, when it jumped over 0.90 CAD. Retracement from 1.10 CAD to 0.75 CAD was -30%, normal in a miner bull market, in accordance with other silver stocks like First Majestic; in the case of DV, particularly, following a 350% increase in the share price since February. This is wrong. Endeavour Silver, another mid-tier producer, dropped 30% from the local peak, and that had nothing to do with a tax dispute. First Majestic regularly dropped 30% in the '01 to '11 miner bull market. There's hardly a single silver junior which didn't drop 25-30% from the local peak in this latest correction. Aurcana, CCW, Silver One, Defiance. Many did so more: Sprott's favourite silver junior, Discovery Metals, fell 36%. I don't think you understand the point. I mentioned DV because it was interesting to see it only react to the excellent drilling-results days after the announcement.

Fair enough, the first step towards cashless society imo will be getting rid of the penny and I could honestly see them doing it within the next 5 years, I think once that happens people will start hoarding. Not as fast and rapid as in 1964 when everyone started saving their silver, but I already notice less copper pennies then usual in my change, I'd say they make up about 10% of pennies in circulation right now in my experience. To tell the truth, I can't find anything which I consider better than what I'm already holding. Right now, almost all my net-worth is in only a few positions. Have talked about them before. DV, SVE, IRV, IPT, to name the four most "reliable," in my view. My plan is to wait until these go up along with $30-50 silver, since I see them as sure bets, and only then to use the profits to invest in any laggards which have not gone up yet, or which are still presenting opportunities. You know my favourite small-caps, along with the four ones above-mentioned: BHS, SSE, KS, TK, VML, VGLD, ELO, CCW, FWZ, AZS. I was going to write a list of about 40 different positions which I take some sort of interest in, but only a few of them are microcaps, and I don't consider any of them better than what I already own, so I'd only be giving you inferior information. For example, one curious microcap which I know of is Black Tusk ($5 million mcap). But it recently got a heavy investment by Palisade, which immediately killed my interest in the stock, and they also seem to be messing about their investors with respect to their drilling plans. You may want to investigate Blue Lagoon, Mountain Boy Minerals, Silver Viper, and Nicola Mining, but these all have $30 million mcaps, so I'm not sure if you consider that low enough to interest you.

There are still some companies with $5 million mcaps which show a certain degree of promise ( e.g. Black Tusk, First Energy Metals, Blind Creek), but they all have problems, like predatory or incompetent management, and I feel that my money would go farther in any number of quality $50-$150 mcap companies. I'd rather have $10,000 in Dolly Varden than put the same cash in 20 different little bets, because I know that, with something like Dolly Varden, it's impossible for me to lose if silver goes up. Nicola Mining is particularly interesting for four reasons: They have their own fully permitted mill, they own 100% of a high-grade silver mine (Treasure Mountain), they own one of the highest-grade copper mines ever, and most importantly, the chat is dead silent, which is generally a good sign. I had to do all my research on them pretty much on my own. The CEO seems like a reasonable and intelligent man in interviews. anon... specific gravity works, the two elements being "close" does not matter, its like saying 1.25 grams is close to 1.4, sure it is, but you can measurably tell the difference.

secondly, xrf testers can tell, these machines quite simply work.

It is easier to counterfeit paper money then bullion, and less places will test the double fake fiat vs bullion.

The very fact that we are investing in silver mining stocks at all is seeing an opportunity when others don't. I chose to ignore the fud in March about silver and buy the low because I knew that the fundamentals would win, and I was right to do so. Once while plumbing the depths of a storm sewer for gold jewelry and coins under a residential area, I climbed up and stuck my hairy head out of an open manhole to look around and get my bearings. Can you explain why xrf are sold, and advertised, as specifically detecting gold/silver plate?

Can you explain why I have personally used one and detected many plated fakes with it?

Mining ones are not designed the same for what its worth, so you may just be ignorant that other fields of work have ones designed specifically to detect fakes, vs ones designed to determine a wide spectrum of elements in ore that is rarely faked for obvious reasons.

Because even the site YOU linked advertises their XRF products as detecting plated objects
from https://www.thermofisher.com/ca/en/home/industrial/spectroscopy-elemental-isotope-analysis/portable-analysis-material-id/portable-metal-manufacturing-inspection-recycling-solutions/portable-precious-metals-jewelry-analysis.html

"Niton DXL and Niton XL2 gold testers are equipped with proprietary Thermo Scientific AuDIT gold-plating detection technology. Several independent, complementary methods in the AuDIT (Au/gold Detection & Identification Technology) software work in tandem to alert you to the probability that an item is plated, regardless of the gold concentration of the plated surface layer. AuDIT technology works for vermeil (gold-plated silver), as well as gold-plated copper, steel, tungsten and any other non-gold substrate."

This is not a rare feature for XRF's used in the bullion industry, it is the bog standard one in fact, even cheaper ones will detect plated material.

First thing I did was mention its the most spoofed tripfag and all you can do is pat yourself on the back for your 4chan lingo mastery because I use namefag/tripfag interchangeably. Pan man already had replied in the thread under a diff ID.

Meanwhile, with zero proof, you claim to be a multimillionaire mining investing guru/owner/miner.

post some proofs, or a stack at least.

well you may want to sue the manufacturers who make these claims.

Plenty of videos for any one to google of plated items being identified by these devices.

OH NO WAIT! someone could have
FAKED
all the videos too!

AM I A FAKE?!?!?

fair enough
notice the word "mine" on this document. I can post the company letterhead but Id rather not. How much do you make in a year? I've had 30 years of this and more.

I already said, it can detect plate by detecting the elements used to plate. It can't detect fill because it only reads the surface.

hay those nugs reminded me of something. pic related are placer copper nuggets from the skeena river just past Kitsgokla BC. No ones ever been able to trace where they came from, the rock found in them is not local to the region. Probably dumped from somewhere else by glaciation.

Are you in the states? I cant remember if most mining claims down there have to post assessment work each year like we do up here, I know Alaska did that for a while but I havent looked at US claim regs or info since this spring.

we have assessment but we usually do improvement in lieu of money

yep thats the same here, file assessment work or pay a fee equal to the work required. I am glad all claims lapsing is frozen this year, our government website to file has been busted all year.

the government here stopped all placer claims from lapsing, but not hard rock properties. A couple juniors did not realize this and had their lands lapse without them knowing. Pacific Booker Minerals was one of the casualties from this. We might get an extra year of claim protection too this spring if covid doesn't let up by then.

Mine were bought, so I cant say where they originate, guy I bought them off got em in trade, all he knew was somewhere in BC. But yeah same coppery colour.

so ten years ago you made 180k, according to a completely fake-able invoice of some sort that in no way ties itself to you with no hand or time stamp.

But I believe you entirely because your piss poor, old ass boomer who likely was born into the family trade, attitude of over importance is pervasive in your posts. Even up to breaking out the "my financial dick is big, is yours even that big" play.

You should have over a hundred million in the bank if you made that kind of coin coupled with your self proclaimed expertise in investing. I suspect this not to be the case however.

naw I believe you. I just dont understand why you expect me to believe some anon about XRF over manufacturers, my own experience, and so on.

Especially since earlier in the thread you warn people against taking some random guy onlines advice RE stonks.

I mean I get it because its common in boomers to not have that sort of self awareness, but its just incorrect of you to state that XRF + specific gravity are not effective enough methods of detecting fakes.

>> No.23166418

SG is fine.
so is xrf for alloys or very bad plate

but the anon posted drill and fill, and xrf won't detect that
