I actually wanted to buy a full 1st edition set years ago out of my own interest, but other committments arose.
I would never pay these extortionate prices, I am convince this is just a spectators market. no one who actually wants them is paying this much

It's not a bubble, it's a paradigm shift. Cards will only go up, never down. Risk-free, high reward. Remember that.

It is a speculators' market. But it is a risk-free, high reward speculator market that will continue to rise further towards the moon. In 20 years, everyone buying vintage cards today will be rich.

>> No.23116419

this is basically a shill campaign. tells a bunch of retarded kids to buy cards worth thousands of dollars so he can sell his own to them for some 100% markup

lol at people sleeping on cards. the other day I pulled over $200 of NFL cards out of one $20 box. If I get them graded that becomes about $800 conservatively. I don't care, let /biz/ FOMO in later.

PSA grading is over saturated. They literally closed down their $20 per card grading metric because of too many people sending cards in from what I can tell. There are too many trying to do this and its going to end poorly.

>> No.23116906

Do not buy and sell cards retards

It’s the games you want, mommy bought me soulsilver 10 years ago for $40, it’s now selling for $120 and that’s without the pokewalker accessory. BW2 is like $100, imagine how much the game boy ones are now.

>> No.23116928

No one but oldfags buy the cards and there aren’t many whereas zoomies who will become hipsters one day buy the old games.

Lmao it’s the same shit. But that growth is nothing compared to cards in the past few months alone. With that being said, sealed vintage games is a collectibles market still in its infancy and has potential to see significant gains once the tcg fatigue inevitably sets in.
