Now that the glowies are targeting monero, how will it impact the coin? Is it bearish or bullish? Also, will we see regulations in the near future? Will (((they))) have the technology to start tracking monero transactions?

Ok.. I've been heavily invested since 2015... if you want my opinion

we drop back down to 70 dollars between now and January/February and then skyrocket after that.
basically 70 dollars is our next bottom and when it hits it, it will rebound hardcore.
You wont ever be able to buy Monero cheaper than 70 dollars before the next bull run.

XMR is not some manipulated scam that has these huge pumps and dumps so as long as you DCA, it's not going to make a big difference. There are some mini-pumps that seem to come with hackers cashing out cleaning BTC through XMR. The community has gotten used to this and seem to swing trade these mini-pumps.
Besides that it's a long term hold. XMR will probably have monopoly of the DNMs in ~5 years time. Right WH does 60% of volume in XMR and 40% done in BTC through 3rd party which becomes exchanged for XMR. There is usually 1 dominant market and the longer WH hangs around the more people are going to become evangelized to XMR and using it. This might seem like a small use case but considering the hundreds of millions that were seized in Silk Road, Alpha Bay, etc it's actually more money than the meme hyped scam use cases in all the fake "enterprise use case" crypto projects. When XMR becomes the defacto standard for illegal purchases, then people will start appreciating what this means for the privacy and protection of normies with countless use cases.
Performance wise, XMR is going to be outpefromed by a lot of projects over the next several years but most will pump and dump and most of you geniuses will get burned. XMR is long term slow and steady returns. Also XMR fared deceptively better in the bear market compared to other projects although it appears to have fallen down markecap rankings. Most of these coins lost much more but appear to have gone up in rankings because their circulating supply increased a lot more compared to XMR. If you're in crypto, it doesn't make sense not to own an unknown amount of XMR.

99% of crypto does not have a use case but as a money grab project. Monero actually has use cases. Almost 100% certain that if XMR doesn't have a major vulnerability that it will become the defacto currency of the DNMs. You can say hur durr, it's not good for Monero to be associated with online drugs and money laundering but that's like says it was not good for Swiss Banks to be associated with organized crime, dictators, etc last century. The secrecy and no questions asked modus operandi Swiss Banks worked well last century and it was adopted by criminals. Same goes with Monero. Swiss banks were also adopted by the rich and powerful the world over to do simple things like privacy, evade taxation, hide money from their wifes, hell used by Jews to evade wealth confiscation from Nazis etc. Same thing will happen with Monero if it succeeds. And the thing is it won't matter if it's made illegal, not available on exchanges, etc. When there is utility in it and the world starts discovering that, money will flow into XMR.

I kinda am, I always go for low market cap, defi, new coin under one month, bullish chart.

But now with all the pajeets this no longer works, so I have to settle for more reputable coins that actually aren't rugpulls nor scams. Essentially I used to browse /biz/ for shitcoins but now with all the scams it's become difficult

Thinking a Coinbase listing is unironically becoming more likely, though possibly still months from now. Glowies are increasingly interested in XMR: IRS recently granted contracts to try and break Monero (and Lightning Network). But barring some flaw in the cryptography, which would get patched, you can only reason about Monero transactions probabilistically. And a great way to improve certainty is using privileged off-chain information about transactions.

For example, an exchange collaborating with glowies can share the transaction hashes of all deposits it receives and confirm which later transaction is them actually spending the output. For any other transactions which include the output in their ring, it's a known decoy and uncertainty is reduced.

I'm pretty sure Kraken is the only major US-based exchange that offers Monero. Many US-based Monero buyers turn towards offshore exchanges like MorphToken to acquire Monero. (There was a leaked (declassified?) FBI report complaining about this several months ago.) Continuing the status quo of "regulatory uncertainty" forces the majority of Monero transactions to initiate from institutions where the feds have limited influence, depriving them of valuable metadata, metadata which is useful beyond the individual KYC transactions that are fully deanonymized. The higher the percentage of transactions on the Monero network that involve glowie-compliant institutions, the better for them.

So IRS has an incentive to get Coinbase to list Monero instead of allowing purchases to happen offshore. Chainalysis is in all likelihood telling this to them right now, demonstrating probabilistic models where the lack of privileged information collected from exchanges reduces the certainty of their models. Maybe IRS & friends think it's more valuable for Monero to remain obscure, but I really doubt the increased access to more casual speculators is particularly relevant to them.

Pretty good arguments.

What also could impact XMR would be Bitcoin OGs realizing what has become of the Bitcoin community compared to what it was five or seven years ago. I hope they will put their money into a place where the fire of old still burns.
