>What wallet do I use?
There is no right answer for this. Mostly personal preference and security vs. convenience.
Hot storage (with Spark support) - XUMM or Exodus.
Cold storage - Ledger/Trezor or Paper/Metal Wallet.

Ignore it; all it wants is attention.

XRP will move when it's perceived by the normies to be worth more than it is now. Maybe it'll be the XDR/Bancor 2.0. Maybe they'll be some tie into to a PM. I don't know and I'd bet those who do know won't be running their mouths off on TWTR...but that's just me.

I do think XRP - and many other things - are waiting for the next "event" in 2020. Whether it's the election, TGD collapsing, aliens, or Lord knows whatever will give the elites their "because" to finally kill debt-backed fiat [read: flip the switch], I'd guess we'd have to wait for that to occur.

Hah. Guess I do agree with that faggot there at least: this shit comes in phases and it feels like we'll be facing a *clear* event/spark to delineate the end of the current phase and start of the next.

I'm glad you have - as someone who's got a nice XRP stack I'd love to see if go up. Three, let alone four, figure valuations mean big gainz here.

My point however is not to peg your expectations to what someone on TWTR is saying as 1. they probably don't know, and 2., even if the DID know [they were THAT connected] they'd also probably know silence is golden.

If you go long on XRP - which I've done for myself - do it because you've looked at the asset, strategy, etc., not due to whatever esoteric nonsense an attention-seeking whore is pumping out.

>Bro is 2k xrp enough?

I honestly don't know. Only advice I can offer is to store what value you can in real assets.

Some real assets seem over-valued, real esate and equities come to mind. Others seem under valued with silver, platinum, gold to a lesser extent compared with Ag and Pt, and recently XRP.

Perhapes the better question is not "is [ x ] XRP enough to make it" but rather "how much can I invest today in whatever assets I think will do well and still meet my day-to-day obligations."

If you're asking me to put a price target on XRP (or Au, Ag, Pt, etc.) I'd have to respond with a, "I've got no fucking clue" but do think the assets are currently under valued...hence I hold and stack when I can.

I wonder where my fellow rich schizos are, even if we hadn't made it yet, we're going to then we're all going to blow our wealth on schizo meds, or... we're going to transcend and remain wealthy AF, and begin taking over businesses and houses for profit, slowly becoming the new boomers, who hopefully invest in greener tech and save our planet from destruction. What happens when you suddenly become rich?

> Wake up for wagecuck job, check portfolio, flick switched, multi millionnaire

Is it really that simple? Sell a millions worth, withdraw to bank account, pay tax, no problems no questions asked?

That's just it. Ironically, the banks don't give two fucks if you suddenly become rich. What they care about is if you're paying the fees, the taxes, and continue banking with them. Once it happens, it's like the lottery, except it's a legitimate investment. That's how investing works, you pay into something, it grows in value, you sell it, bam. Pay your dues and live your life free from the wagecuckery.

I'm sure if I was 50 and hadn't made it the feeling would be impossible to shake.

>no, we are greatest generation analog. our kids will be the boomers. it is our responsibility to make sure they don't fuck the world up like the boomers did

Off topic but worth it: check out the Fourth Turning by William Strauss and Neil Howe. They ID'd four generational archetypes as well as four "seasons" we go through as a society.

>pic related

Archtypes:

>Hero / Millenials, currently young adulthood
>Artist / Homeland, currently being born/children
>Prophet / Boomers, currently elders
>Nomad / Gen X, currently mid-life

In the "fourth turning" all the generations are at their strongest spot which allows the society to confront a serious crisis - and if successful - rebirth itself. I'm not really doing it justice here but if you're into this kind of shit check out the book or audible it. Worth the time.

>Does the book mention Zoomer's and their potential future?

It lays out a framework for describing repeatable, broad, but distinct attributes to generations: the archetypes.

It also describes how a society goes through four turnings with each turning being ~20 years:

> Turning 1: HIGH (think spring), VDay to JFK assassination
> Turning 2: AWAKENING (think summer), JFK assassination to Regan's election
> Turning 3: UNRAVELING (think fall), Regan's election to 9/11
> Turning 4: CRISIS (think winter), 9/11 until some time in the 2020s.

The idea is not to say summer stops on this exact date where fall begins but to understand the cyclical nature of time. Fall ALWAYS follows summer and precedes winter. Just as spring will in turn follow winter and proceed summer.

Many of the issues we face today and see as being new are actually old. Our forefathers saw, met, and confronted them in years past BUT from OUR perspective we lack the living memory to recall it so it strikes us as new.

As much as I love me some boomer [prophet] hate, they have a generational role to play just as I, a millennial [hero] have a generational role to play. As much as I find boomer arrogance anathema, there's a reason for it and the real mindfuck is the millennials will give birth to the next boomer-prophet-value generation even if they despise boomer values. it's a simple model for a general purpose computer. if something (like a programming language) is turing-equivalent, it can simulate a turing machine and is thus just as (theoretically) expressive as any other language.

this is helpful, thank you. so I suppose in the current state of banking, a bank can leverage the legal system to keep people paying their monthly payments, and thus expect a reasonable overall average return. but with a Turing complete contract, the consequences of completing or not completing the terms of the contract would result in a predetermined and immutable result that was agreed upon at the signing of the contract

as a clumsy analogy, think of an ordinary contract on paper. the english language is adequately descriptive and the contract can be as complex or intricate as you want it to be. but some languages aren't. if your language is just clicks and whistles and is missing basic linguistic features then it's not possible to describe certain concepts and you're limited in what you can say.

Checked.

I always like to think back to a conversation I had with my sister in law’s ex-bf. He was convinced, and was trying to convince me, that Jay-Z was Illuminati. Because of some of the imagery in his videos. I couldn’t impress upon him just how ridiculous that idea was - that just because some guy made it rich, he’s suddenly let into the club. I think a lot of people who grow up without money (I was one of them), really misunderstand the difference between wealth and power. True elite power isn’t handed out to anyone. The only new entrants are likely Zuckerburg and co., who have effectively (due to owning/controlling very powerful businesses), force their way in. The elite don’t care about us - whether we make it or not - because we are no threat to them.

Also, I have some money and I know a lot of people with serious money (Millions to 100s of millions and one billionaire family). They just live their lives. The idea that you’ll have to hole up in a bunker because you’re rich and everybody will be put to get you really doesn’t have a grasp on the reality of just how many rich people there are around. We will be nothing special in the grand scheme of things.

I don't think you know what FB is or who/what org. started it if you think Zuckerborg "forced" his way in.

>> No.23046236

>>23046132
I don’t think you understood the point that was being made.

It doesn’t matter how Facebook started, etc. I’m not suggesting that he literally forced his way in. I’m suggesting that due to the position he is in (whether by accident or design), he now has enough power to be considered part of the elite.

That’s the point: Zuckerberg and Co., now wield an incredible amount of power over humanity. They can access billions of people and influence them. That’s real power. That there might be even MORE powerful people behind them isn’t really all that relevant - there’s hierarchies in everything.

Zuckerberg could post on FB tomorrow that the rona was a Chinese attack and billions of people would see it - and even with all the worlds media shilling against it, tens or hundreds of millions would believe that and start to act against China accordingly (whether directly or through voting, etc). That’s a level of power that is considered elite. Showing illuminati images in your rap video is not.

Nah Jay-Z is not a member of Adam Weishaupt's Illuminati kek. You are right but the imagery in the vids are on purpose. Not by him, he is just a marrionette. Just like Cleopatra. Everyone in Egypt feared her and worship her without knowing that she was just a puppet of Rome. And Egypt was only used as a grainshed to feed the Roman Empire.

I think the elite fear a person who has nothing and nothing to lose more than a rich person who is scared to lose acces to his bank account for stepping out of line or saying something politically incorrect.

Because ‘XRP Bag holders’ are nothing. We would be no threat to them whatsoever.

So know what’s far more important that a bunch of nobodies making it (half of whom will be poor again in 5 years)?

Their reputation. Theirs and that of their clients. Neither ripple nor the banks would want the bad PR.

Add to that - XRP is not designed to make anyone money. Most banks, etc., aren’t looking for a quick score (those with the lightest risk policies might be in this for gains, but they’ll be few and far between). I’ve explained here too many times to bother doing it in detail again but when functioning as intended, XRP has Zero cost to banks. They buy in and out almost instantaneously to transfer value. This isn’t a speculative asset. So we are not stealing money from their pockets - this isn’t an asset they will be looking to pocket a swing on.

and what incentive would they have to do that?
when ripple already has interledger and hyperledger protocols to be able to expand or contract (seriously look into that java one some guy posted, operation at drops of drops) to fit any platform, they are so far ahead of the game you simply don't understand. they've crabbed for years and no one has cared, but they can observe every blockchain that has made or not, and perhaps adapt to it. you do understand the point of the smart contract patent for external data, yes?

The liquidity pool is already set within XRP. The Ripplenet infrastructure already incorporated XRP.
What would happen if the current reserve currency was pulled from all markets and suddenly replaced with a brand new currency with no liquidity? You can't trade with USD anymore, so how do you trade? The effort and organization involved just to screw over some plebs doesn't make sense from a cost-benefit perspective. The world isn't out to get you, it's out to get the masses. The masses aren't holding XRP, the banks and a relatively few autists are.

yes and if any of these schizos put an ounce of thought into it they would realize this is exactly what they are going to do

XRP was a test, it passed. The banks are happy the tech works. Now they create a new token for the banks to use internally with the same tech.

Boys I'm all XRP schizo

What I'm saying is: before the switch is flipped, why wouldn't the government just use "XRPv2" which is just some copy of XRP but that nobody had a change of buying on the open market.

So it will still use Ripple, just with a version of XRP that we don't have.

That's what scares me.

It will be an internal bank token that won't be available for the public to purchase. The participating banks will agree to a price for that token and it will allow for smooth interbank and international transactions.

Nobody at Ripple will come out and directly condemn XRP because they are cashing out to the greater fools in order to get some quick liquidity for the Ripple corporation.

>> No.23051846

But it's not yet isn't it? Ripple could easily make "RXP" coin run on ripplenet and let the banks use that instead.

Or are you saying banks etc are ALREADY using XRP or preparing to?

What I mean is: why on earth would they just use XRP, the one available to the public, and not just create a new version bank-only?

Say at some point XRP hits a certain price in USD at which you want to "cash out" into fiat.
How would you do it?
Coinbase pro has a starting withdrawal limit of $25k per day. Kraken Pro has a $10m daily limit but how many millions of dollars they store for people to actually withdrawal is a mystery, iirc.
Do you phone UBS (or any other swiss bank) in the Bahamas, Zurich or Singapore and tell them that you have some XRP to sell them?
Sorry, these might be the faggiest of questions but I really don't know.
Any ideas?

I believe that would open themselves up to massive lawsuits. They have been shilling XRP, albeit not as much as their other technology, but still... you can't go around telling people that banks and other partners will be using XRP while behind the scenes creating a different token that their partners will be using instead.

I think if this is the best defense then we're fucked.

ODL infrastructure is already set up and running using XRP. Banks already hold XRP. What you are suggesting doesn't make sense from a cost-benefit perspective, especially for Ripple, unless there is a 1-1 exchange rate provided for XRP:XRPv2. In which case, the public not getting the chance to convert is a massive class-action awsuit waiting to happen, which will further slow down their plans.

I believe a lot of their partners are holding XRP but currently aren't using it until all the regulations and laws are passed.

He who panics first, often panics best.
It might really be like that.
For me I will try to get verfied at several platforms that allow withdrawals into fiat, to the highest verification levels that I can get asap.
I'd hope to be out of the door and have the funds in my good old bank account before Kraken and Coinbase "mysteriously" limit withdrawal to 2500$ a week for everybody.

Because it’s been answered a dozen times before. Primarily:
- Bad PR
- Utterly, completely unnecessary. XRP isn’t designed for a quick buck and banks aren’t looking for a quick buck. It’s a zero (or close to zero) cost tool
- You have to be a little soft to believe that anybody, anywhere, gives any kind of fuck about a few thousand nobodies making some money.
You can scroll up for my answer. It’s also been answered in many other XSGs.

This. Do you think Ripple is going to spend eight years regulating, testing, and advertising a coin to all their partners on an international level only to pull a grand switcheroo at the last ducking second? Do you have any idea what a monumental clusterfuck that would be on the global scale in which they’re operating?
>sorry guys we know the New York regulatory authority says its already ok to custody xrp but we’re actually gonna use ANOTHER coin haha snooch to the nooch am I rite but don’t worry we will have NUCOIN up and running soon just sit tight!
Meanwhile a class action lawsuit ensues. This method of thinking is retarded. Gatling house is ALREADY being sued because he said he was “long xrp” yet he sold some. That is such an innocuous thing to get sued for (he is allowed to manage his portfolio) can you imagine the fallout for a fucking bait and switcheroo. Again, this fud is gay.

Your fear is unfounded and only exists because of your lack of knowledge on the mechanics of settlement/remittance. If you knew more you would understand that, mechanically, this does not work for anyone, even "the government". It's like a kid worrying that all the marshmallows in his lucky charms box were maybe replaced with raisins right before dad put the box in the grocery cart. An adult with a reasonable education understands that it just doesn't work mechanically.

XRP is not being developed for "internal bank tokens". No one who is serious about XRP ever expects it to be issued as a CBDC or private token.
