Yo Biz, I have been trading shitcoins on uniswap with my ledger wallet link to metamask. Just to be sure, are and will my private keys always be safe?

>> No.23030142

>>23030102
that's the purpose of a hardware wallet, your private key never leaves the thing

>> No.23030166

>>23030102
yeah that's the entire point

>> No.23030188

I just hot the trezor as first hardware wallet but i need to be at a computer to use it otherwise its /comfy/. With the ledger i can do all the defi stuff and wallet management easier through my android?

>> No.23030205

Thanks fren, taking a pause from crypto for a while and want to store my assets with a peaceful mind. I was wondering somehow is a ledger wallet who signed transactions with Metamask or Uniswap was more at risk that one who didn't, for a reason I would ignore. But its all good so?

>> No.23030212

>>23030188
yeah, you can use either the wired ledger or wireless ledger with android

>> No.23030550

>>23030212
Does aave and uniswap work through android+ledger?

>> No.23030591

yup
0 proof a ledger/trezor has ever been hacked via software exploit

i do the same thing as you anon and the fact that you are asking me this tells me you are, indeed, a nigger.

Your hardware wallet is only as safe as your recovery key. If you recovery key on on your pc. you are not well protected. i hope you AT LEAST are using full disk encryption. if you wrote it down, that is much safer, but don't let anyone find your precious scrap of paper.

>> No.23031200

I won't give infos here, but my private keys are probably safer than 99% of this board.

>> No.23031341

>>23030550
No, it also doesn't work with Windows 10

>> No.23031486

>>23030591
Wrong. Trezor has an exploit in early versions. You could read out the pin and seed with flashed exploit software.

>> No.23031506

>>23031341
pretty sure thats false
though im a freetard so idk. You dont need to use the app for metamask so it is irrelevant. I use it to see my balances, send/receive and shit but you can do that on android just as well
>>23030188
not sure with uniswap, but using your ledger is ezpz on android
>>23031038
>. if you wrote it down, that is much safer, but don't let anyone find your precious scrap of paper.
main point here is that incel fucks online cant hack your coins
that piece of paper is to be kept in a place no one might suspect it is. A school notebook or whatever. I wont say here where I keep it personally but be creative.

yeah whatever

Go look up "Windows 10 metamask ledger" or just try it yourself and see. It has been YEARS and nobody gives a shit to fix it

>> No.23031876

>>23031604
Fascinating. Well it works for me so it doesnt affect me.
Cant see a reason for people not to dual boot. Most games run on Linux since 2018-2019, run better and even Office is now working in Wine.
I dual boot for CAD, my eroges and photoshop but now I use mostly gimp anyways

I'm horrified that the USB cable will give out, or the Ledger itself will short circuit.

It feels every bit as risky as metamask.

When was the last time any USB device shorted out? Never happened in my life

Happened in mine.
Couldn't connect my iphone to my PC after the inner wire went bad.

Don't want something like this to happen to me while I'm holding some coin like Small Love Potion. Horrified that I could lose 15% or even 50% of everything I own over something like that.

if you have the backup seed phrase that shouldn't be a problem since you can just recover it.
