It has a big population but seems like it never was trendy. No big companies, no famous restaurants or clubs, no one wanna move there like SF, NY or Tokyo

LA is fun if you live in a decent area and can afford it. Lots of great areas like the beaches, certain parts of hollywood are cool, and others. It is expensive, but fun. If you aren't living in those fun areas, then it's not worth it.

Former "friend" of mine loved that place. "It's LA man, how can you not love it!?" Just a city to me, one that I don't have an interest in.
