It partly has to due with the fact that the US begins its new fiscal year tomorrow on October 1, which is why there was such a huge push over August and September to get the regulations in. The model that is being tested, defined, molded, is nuts. Not to mention that it is already functional. It is proof IMO that the system actually works. Something that people familiar with the ideas (people that post here for example) might take for granted. Its a bit strange, but check out L'Oreal from the INTBA members page. A unlikely and easily overlooked partner.

I don't think so because its kind of hard to do imo. Going from something open to something closed, because as soon as you try then you have to enforce it. If you enforce it because its presumably profitable to break into then so much of your overhead is now devoted to stopping this. The more regulation and control that gets applied then the more pressure there is to pour resources into maintaining that funnel. It works well enough now, and works better as an open system. I mean, yeah, that is just one point out of possible hundreds, but, only so much speculation for me.

Openness is critical, IMO, because one of the key features of "T4IR" is that IoT devices can now function as brad puts it "economic agents". If your self driving car drives itself to a drone delivery service station to pickup and deliver a package to an automated warehouse, then now the drone, pays the car, and the warehouse pays the car, and the car can now use its own account to go and pay for its own gas. etc.

I really hate to use this example, because it is kind of obscure and throws people off, however its great for explaining "new work".

Some people don't like this, but its a side effect of a more prosperous society. Where there isn't real work, people will find surrogate activates that need doing that'll pay just as well. If you don't know about it, check out things like opensea.io to see how in this example, there aren't just "physical boulders" to be moved, but new "digital boulders" being created too.

There have been a few articles posted about crytpo's status being changed by FTC, namely it will not be treated as a security. As someone with passing familiarity with the US tax code -- I get the difference between how income and capital gains are taxed -- what does that mean for crypto gains? Will it still be treated as capital gains if changed into a fiat currency? I'm not sure how that works, any anons want to help me out with that?
