Xerox invented the computer mouse and windowed computer interface, but simply sat on its ass instead of releasing these huge innovations.
So Apple and Microsoft just stole the ideas and actually delivered them.

The same will happen to Chainlink: they're sitting on the next great innovation for crypto and legacy finance; but that's all they're doing: sitting on it.
So competitors will take Chainlink's concepts and actually deliver them.

OP is right. The Chainlink project is almost dead in the water. Radio silence from the skeleton crew they call their "team". The pivotal tracker is a ghost town.

There are real competitors in the shadows ready to swoop and deliever a real, honest product. But forget about superficial attempts like BAND Protocol. There is only one battle-tested project best positioned to win this and become the standard of decentralized oracle networks - Mobius.

The Chainlinkers will dismiss the post as a meme but they will get what they deserve.

Band is a blatant copycat that literally pays Pajeets for social media marketing, see pic.
They also pay projects like Loopring to announce "partnerships".

BUT unlike Chainlink they are going to be actually motivated to release features, so they can be ahead of Chainlink which is dragging its feet.

>>22931059
Band has co-opted a bunch of Chainlink's network already, most recently Loopring.
When they actually release full mainnet (beyond Defi) before Chainlink, that's when the fun starts.

Then ask what I'm basing my prediction on.
Asking for "source" for a prediction just makes you look like an ESL retard.

My prediction is based on Chainlink being extremely slow to release the features it promised three years ago.

Chainlink is doing all the innovative and creative work for Band.

Like pic related; all Band has to do is steal the ideas and concepts (open source) and beat Chainlink to the punch since they're so slow.

yeah that's the reality of things anon. Don't feed them too much information otherwise they adapt with their spider web consciousness.

Features promised in the 2017 white paper:
>staking
>reputation
>order matching
>aggregation
>threshold signatures
>enclaves (SGX)
>service-level agreements

Features actually released so far, after three whole years and many dozens of millions of $:
>aggregation in its most basic form: averaging
