Hey bros, I made this equation to estimate possible growth/recovery. The P/E Ratio is to express viability, the 1Y performance is essential price memory. I would also consider looking at assets/liabilities and judge liquidity and debt, which can be very different depending on sector (i.e. Tech vs Utilities). 1Y performance is shown as a decimal rather than percent and the closer to zero the better - this works for both positive and negative growth (loss).

Yes, and what I like about my equation is that although it is very similar to a Beta coefficient, inclusion of P/E Ratio provides a bit more confidence for me (maybe I'm trying to be too safe though) and the inclusion of 1Y Performance rather than overall stock market recovery (or recovery in particular sectors) gives a better appreciation for the particular company.

I think that the equation that I've got does a better job of estimating a particular company against its competitors in sectors with lower volatility and speculation whereas a simple Beta coefficient is probably equally good or maybe better for high volatility and high speculation sectors in the midst of a bubble (i.e Tech). I will admit though that upon further reflection the nuance between what I've got and Beta coefficients is a lot less than I originally thought.

Think about both cases and realize which one is more likely: they are buying the disk version because the disk-less version is crap value per $, but are going digital because it's more convenient and the same price, plus used games don't actually trade anymore. Technically there are a lot of calls out there with low volume and a negative breakeven. So in that sense if you are sitting on a lot of cash you can buy them and immediately exercise (because there is too low volume to sell them back at what they should be priced at) and your profit would be the negative breakeven percentage.
