If you want my hindsight-- I looked at how LINK specifically historically performed when it tested the 21/50 day exponential moving averages for extended periods of time from the bottom side. It tends to drop back down when it tests it for 3-4 days but does not push through. Also, every single other indiciator seemed to be at an uncanny neutral balance. So that major bear signal being the only indicator of future price made me pull out my LINK position for the moment.
I am not invincible, however. I've lost about 15% of my portfolio swinging it around in this short-term bear movement among the various blue-chip cryptos. Still, just looking for that goldilocks trade that will put me in the green again. Hope I find it this October or November but we'll see.
Essentially, when my portfolio bleeds 2% (unexpectedly) I pull out. I'm a newbie to trading but maybe this could help you nonetheless. DYOR

There were other trades that also seemed promising and worth taking a swing (pun intended) at.
Right now eyeing BTC since it's making nice short-timeline bounces on support, and OMG as it forms a second bullflag within the past 2 days.
All in all trying to reap little over 10% profits on each which would nearly mitigate half my losses.
