Don't let me come off as rude. But you should never know this if you looking to invest in some long term holds. (which I imagine you do, since trading ignores this fact entirely usually)

Just DCA your way in, and decide if you wish to hold a buffer of cash so that if a black swan crash comes (nobody can predict that) then you can pick up some cheapies too.

Don't fall for the bears on this thread, they have no idea what they are talking about. Most of them are just trading shorts and actually have bullish portfolios for their pension ect and don't particularly care which way the market goes. Traders play both ways in the moment so to speak.

DCA your way in, it isn't too late already. 08/09 is comparable in terms of valuation price points in the March crash, but the fundamentals are entirely different. Q/E has opened up pandora's box. More and more World Governments are turning negative interest rates. Cash is trash, cash was not trash in 08.

AAL and UAL are just shit companies. DAL is a little better but I like LUV, ALK, and maybe SAVE the most for airlines. I think Boeing is maybe a better buy right now than anything else. Airlines are starting to get bailed out, MAX is probably about to be approved by FAA, GE's new engine for the 777X just got approved, etc. I think both Trump and Biden would be good for the company (although investors may not agree with me). Biggest problem is that a rising dollar could hurt sales by pushing customers towards competitors, and with Boeing the largest US exporter, that's a lot of money.
