I've read that being on the threshold security list doesn't really mean anything in reality. There is some retail shorting, but I'm sure that vast majority are institutions and MMs. These kind of people have probably been shorting since the 30s, so a momentary upswing is probably not gonna hurt all the profits they've made from shorting over the years. It might not be a squeeze but it might rally up some more as those shares are covered. Fact is, it's still ridiculous that all the shares were shorted for a company with future prospects for the next couple years with a healthy balance sheet.

If you are asking for a recommendation for a card, Discover is decent and specifically targets people who haven't started building their credit yet, like college students. Their customer service, last time I checked, was pretty decent, and if you purchase something overseas that causes your card to get declined for identity theft prevention purposes, they will send you a text fairly quickly to allow you to confirm it is you and you can make your purchase on the next try. Visa on the other hand, will call you two days later after declining your transaction to unlock your account.

Amazon sent me the wrong component twice already. Easier for returns but other than that they're a pain to deal with as their service has gotten rather sloppy, not just for computer parts. Banged up boxes (the stuff inside the shipping box), crushed video game, incorrect items, slower and slower deliveries.
