Sell half and let the rest ride is only good for solid stocks. For pnd, you MUST close BEFORE it dumps, so you have to either watch it or setup a trailing. Personally I used a mixed approach: manually set stops along the way up, then set a trailing when I've had sufficient upside and let it ride.
Also, I recommend sizing by loss potential, not by full amount. For example, if the stock has been flat for 3 months at $1, it's not going to hit $0 tomorrow. At worst it will crab slowly downward, so you can put a manual 10% stop. If it hits it in the coming week, too bad. You put $1k in for a $100 risk. If it goes up $1, that's $1000 profit instead of just $100 profit.
