Permit wasn't denied, fud-boy, first permit was approved. Army Corps added that NAK needs a mitigation plan, and we're going to have that plan within two weeks. Oh yes, and Trump now openly supports Pebble; only reason why NAK crashed is because liars pushed hit-pieces saying he would block it, so the fact that he now approves it shows you how significant this is. There's no way that this mine won't get built. The dollar is going to zero, while China is hoarding gold and commodities as quickly as it can. America will need to make use of its own resources.

Source: Explorer & Developper tab here https://www.goldforumamericas.com/program-agenda/

Tom Collier -- "Draft of Mitigation Plan is on the Desk of Internal Expert and expected to be delivered within 2 weeks, if not the week"

"Expects that Mitigation Proposal fully addresses all Mitigiation needs -- ROD this fall"

"Northern Dynasty expects positive ROD in the next month or so and it looks like it may be before the elections. Collier stated that even if Trump does not get re-elected, he still holds office until January and a lot can be done during that time frame."

This is wrong. Watch this ad which Trump ran a few days ago, it couldn't be more clear to you what "no more politics" means, if it wasn't already clear enough from the Tweet. It's unequivocally in support of Pebble Mine.

https://twitter.com/alexcguillen/status/1306425929506357256

As for his son, Trump regularly calls him an idiot, and says that he doesn't pay the slightest bit of attention to him. Read this article to learn more.

https://insiderfinancial.com/president-trump-set-to-approve-pebble-mine-project/180427/

-

“He’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer,” the president reportedly said in 2017, after the full extent of Don Jr.’s haphazardly arranged Trump Tower Moscow meeting came to light.

And…….

POTUS’s less-than-flattering portrait of his son is shared by others who’ve dealt with him outside of MAGA pep rallies. In 2017, the Daily Beast reported that campaign staffers had nicknamed Don Jr. as “Fredo.” That was a reference to the not-so-bright son of The Godfather series—even before CNN anchor Chris Cuomo claimed it was an ethnic slur.

And…….

“President Trump was very quick to tell everybody that he thinks Don Jr. has the worst judgment of anyone he’s ever met in the world.”

And…….

Trump’s ex-wife Ivana recounts in her 2017 book, “Raising Trump,” that when she suggested naming their newly born first child Donald Jr., Trump protested: “You can’t do that! What if he’s a loser?”

>PM bull market

I really hate this boomer rocks meme.

Anon, we all know deflation will continue for ever. UBI, MMT, and negative interest rates are all crazy talk that will never happen, govts will never get the inflation they want. Instead, they'll be OK with deflation and sit on their hands as the boomer's retirement evaporates and federal debt becomes serviceable.

Even if they did embrace MMT, they've given us an ironclad pinky-promise that they will stop printing if inflation gets too bad. They'll see CPI shooting up and they'll say "well, gee, looks like we can't pay for socialism with debt after all, time to roll it all back, sorry everybody show's over!"

Goldbugs shoo shoo.

Instead, they'll be OK with deflation and sit on their hands as the boomer's retirement evaporates and federal debt becomes serviceable.

This is absolutely impossible. First of all, the CPI is a lie. John Williams' ShadowStats + the Chapwood Index put real inflation 10 percent per annum. The Fed pretend as if they want inflation when inflation is really out of control; it's a headfake. Secondly, the Fed is caught in a debt-trap from which there is no escape. They tried to yields go up in late 2018; when yields hit a nominal 3%, the Dow immediately crashed 20%, and they were forced to re-start Q. E. again. The market was already going to crash again this year without further liquidity; the coronavirus stuff was simply an excuse to begin Q. E. infinity. Yields are now deeply negative, just as they were in the 70s and 80s, and they can never go positive again. Only a fool would buy a negatively-yielding bond; a bond market crash is inevitable. The more the Fed monetizes the debt, the more deeply negative yields go, the less attractive treasuries become to foreign investors, ad infinitum, in a vicious circle, until the Fed becomes the only buyer. They can't let yields go up again, it would crash stocks by 95% and wipe out every social programme in the U. S.; they must simply print and print and print until the dollar has no value, and foreigners dump it once and for all. Every country on earth is already racing to dump treasuries and hoard commodities as fast as it reasonably can.

They did embrace MMT. I am also generally of the opinion that the Fed really can do nothing about deflation because every country that has tried rounds of QE can never escape. That said, the one thing it does seem to do is inflate the hell out of equities. And the more ineffective the QE becomes the more trashed in real and nominal terms become bonds and treasuries. Truly worthwhile bonds begin to trade at such premiums you effectively lose much of the ROI.
Commodities, including silver and gold, are an alternative to treasuries, not stocks. Conservative portfolios will always want that. And the zero return of shiny rocks is still better than the negative returns you lock in with treasuries. I think just sitting on stocks is the way to go with inflation. They have been barely outpacing inflation over the past 10 years. Gold or silver only become worthwhile when your currency is going to zero, and you want to leave your country. Forget Zimbabwe, that was the case in both Venezuela and Turkey.

The futures market is overleveraged to the tits to paper trading. There were 500 futures contracts traded for every allotment of silver it could correspond to. The spot price has decoupled almost completely for the futures. And it is entirely possible that the Comex is being raided by MMs that are using it for spot (same day contract and demand physical).
So for 499 of those contracts it is just algos trading on a line and treating it like a casino. Physical delivery will always push that number upward, and believe that this is similar to about a month ago with bullion banks covering their shorts to go long again.

>Then why are PM's bleeding?

Manipulation. The PM price you see in places like Kitco or goldprice isn't the price which bullion-dealers or miners sell for, it's the COMEX price. The COMEX is a futures exchange where 100 digital ounces of metal are traded for every real ounce which can actually be delivered. What is going on right now is a wash-out so that the banks can cover their enormous short positions. Yesterday, they dumped 1 billion paper ounces on the market in a single day (for reference, only 100 million ounces are even mined each year for investment). If they don't do this, they will go bankrupt. Recall that silver "crashed" to $11 in March, before it soared to $30 within a few months. No matter how low the price went, you couldn't find an ounce of physical for less than $25. Things will function no differently this time. I expect mining stocks to hold basically where they are, and physical to remain basically the same, until we come up again. To learn more about all this, watch these two videos.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyAopYlD32k

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9EOPKizJ_Y4

Silver is one of the only safe havens to protect oneself with from the incoming $100 trillion bond-market collapse and $60 trillion stock market collapse. So it is inevitable that demand for physical delivery will overwhelm the paper system soon, and then you will have a situation analogous with what happened to Palladium a few years ago.

When yields went to 3% in late 2018, stocks immediately crashed 20%. So they can't be allowed to go up again. But they can't be made permanently negative either; Q. E. has a time-limit. Why? because the more negative yields go, the fewer real buyers of treasuries there are, the more Q. E. that is needed to suppress them, ad infinitum. Eventually you get to a point where the Fed is the only only buyer, and foreigners have dumped U. S. treasuries completely. At that point you're looking at Weimar-Germany-style hyperinflation. U. S. stocks will soar in nominal terms, as Venezuelan ones have; but, in terms of gold, commodities, mining stocks, they will be crashing into oblivion.

>First of all, the CPI is a lie. John Williams' ShadowStats + the Chapwood Index put real inflation 10 percent per annum.
Inflation has an inherent measurement problem.
General increase of price levels due to an increase of the product of money supply and velocity against gdp. Inflation is just one factor of many that influence prices. You can never exactly telll what caused the price change. CPI is not a lie and 1980 CPI is not "real" inflation. They're different attempts at measuring the same thing. Regulation and
unnecessary bureaucracy has an huge influence on prices for example. We have more of that shit than ever before. How do you seperate those causes? Especially in a global lockdown like this you'd expect some price shifts.
Every time I check into pmg there's at least one guy who brings up lumber prices at proof for hyperinflation. This has nothing to do with inflation.
>They tried to yields go up in late 2018; when yields hit a nominal 3%, the Dow immediately crashed 20%,
I don't remember this all too well but even on the chance that I am wrong here I'm calling bullshit.
The market was already crashing before FOMC.
The reaction to that was purely a sentiment thing, just like the markets rising on QE now.
>Every country on earth is already racing to dump treasuries
Maybe because they're in dire need of $?
It's easier to dump bonds than metals.
And despite that bonds aren't crashing. Seems like there are enough buyers.

so, what, is the US just doomed at this point and can't be saved, then? we're just gonna become venezuela in a couple of years and no one is gonna stop it?

the main problem i see with this is that the US still has the strongest military in the world and we're not just gonna go quietly into that good night like Venezuela. then again maybe that's why the dems are trying to hard to take control of the country.
