That's what I'm going with for now as the ALGO staking is quite nice.
I was planning on getting some IOTA but I'm still really unsure considering all of the bad things that happened on its chain. (Haven't looked at it more than the bad parts though and I know they're moving off of the centralized infrastructure with the next update)
So might split to 80% XRP, 15% ALGO, and 5% IOTA

That's the whole point of SWIFT switching over to hyperledger so that they can lower the volatility of currency by increasing the amount of accessible data from the blockchains.

Contacted the Dev of xumm. The reason I can't get it to work is that my HTC one m7 is still running android 5.0.2.
This phone refuses to die and since it does everything I need usually I never saw the need to replace it. Now I might have a go at rooting it to enable me to use xumm unless anyone knows an alternative to move my XPR off coinbase for the airdrop?

The counter arguments against it are.
1. Legal issues in multiple different countries, specifically EU where they tend to side with consumers.
2. Bad PR, banks are risk adverse and would not working with companies with bad pr.
3. They don't need to "force" a buyback, they can simply stop price suppression and use pricepoints to shakeoff large portions of bagholders, if the price of XRP reaches 1$, a large portion will sell, if it reaches the ATH 95%+ bagholders will sell. If they simply buyback at these price points they can get a large amount back to the point where retail investors make up sub <5% of the total supply, not to mention they are already buying back on exchanges today. This way they get their supply back, and avoid any sort of negative PR.

Of course if they did want to jew you out and procede with a blacklist, there's nothing you can do about it.
