Decoupled productivity theory:
As the 21st century rolls on automation will continue to make low and mid skill employees less and less employable until we hit a critical mass where it would be impossible to support an economy without a UBI to prop up consumption to match the super high productivity robots/AI provides over the human workforce
Jobs will still exist for what is not economical/ automatable at that tech level but without a UBI all wages will tank as humans compete for the shrinking job pool until the only jobs left are ones people would do for free
With a UBI spending will skyrocket as the money source is secure and people will have majority free time, this will start the consumption based economy as opposed to the production based economy we are currently in
A tiered Monetary distribution would function better than a straight UBI, such as an education tier dividend where the higher the achieved education level the higher the personal UBI to create several different consumer bases as opposed to one giant same-income consumer base and also encourages high innovation and a meaning/time occupier for those that need it
