if i understand it correctly, tezos was on trial in france and it did pretty well so the central bank of france contracted another investment bank (societe-general forge) to choose a blockchain to run the CBDC of france on and they chose Tezos

who knows what that means but i assume that when the G20 meeting in October happens, a regulatory framwork will get rolled out and then maybe we'll see more forward movement.

This is the first news of a CBDC adopting a specific public blockchain I've seen. I think Algo being adopted for the USDC by Coinbase/Circle (Centre foundation) is a good sign too.
