For context, 6ix 9ine is worth approximately 5 million dollars and that is with billions of views, each video with hundreds of millions of views. You can’t tour right now, maybe ever which is the main revenue source along with merch. It takes 300 million Spotify listens to make $1 million dollars. You split all this with a label, manager, promoter, agent, ect. If you go indie you have to learn the business side of it to promote yourself and learn online ad placement and marketing tactics. It’s a literal business. Those artists you see are slaves to the label and most are not actually wealthy but rent those things you see to give the facade of wealth. When you take on management they do all the spending and you go into debt to them for their bad management and eat the cost of advertising and their fees. Tbh shit coins are a better gamble than a rap career in Covid times. Too much competition and that’s if you’re fucking dope. The dopest artists don’t make shit bruh. But if you’re determined look at logic and Russ they made it their own ways. Research and be determined but know you’ll probably still lose.
