Good explanation here: if the price is under $1, then there is negative rebase.
Negative rebase means that once every day at 3 AM GMT, AMPL's will be taken out of your wallet.
This is done to decrease supply and thus increase the price to level it off to $1 again.

level -10: buy AMPL at $2, sell at $1.50
level 1: buy AMPL at $0.80, sell at $1.42
level 100 (big brain): buy AMPL at $1, sell at $1.50-$2
