Post from the last thread:

"Impact Silver: Has an excellent CEO who bought his property in prescient anticipation of the present bull market, 14 years ago. Openly talks about COMEX manipulation; knows what is going on. Impact is the purest primary silver producer in the world. No debt, a lot of cash. Q2 2020 earnings better than Q2 2019 despite the fact that Impact was shut down for half the quarter. The company has survived for 14 years while most of its competitors have gone bankrupt. The property is the second-oldest silver mining district in Mexico, and Cortez is even said to have hidden there once. Its size is colossal: 623 square kilometers. There is an enormous number of abandoned silver mines, going back all the way to the time of Cortez, all over the property. And you can buy shares in this company, right now, for less than $200 million dollars in market-cap. For reference, First Majestic has a $3 billion dollar market cap, and a lot of people are predicting that that will go 10x. Now imagine what Impact will do.

Bayhorse Silver: A real producing silver mine with 4 PhD geologists, millions of proven ounces in the ground, in a safe jurisdiction. Available for a mere $20 million market cap. Absurdly cheap.

Discovery Metals: 1 billion ounces of silver in the ground. Eric Sprott's favourite stock. Could become the Kirkland Lake of silver and rise to a $20 billion+ market-cap (40x)."

Sprott has an enormous number of his holdings in Mexico. He considers it sufficiently safe. Canada has no gold reserves, and is just as likely to nationalize, if not more so. USA, according to Schiff, will be devastated by the coming collapse, to the point where old people will be starving. Will it leave its mines unnationalized? Any and every country has jurisdictional risk.

The old will starve because the pensions dry up or get zapped by inflation. If wages stay stagnant, then they'll go hungry. Otherwise, they'll be able to work as public servants in cushy desk jobs and actually leach off their children through the proper channels. I have doubts that they'll "nationalize" so much as develop contracts and arrangements for existing operations, buy a ton of unclaimed land to phase out new operations, and let miners make bids for projects.

aurcanna is still up... I think people are starting to catch on that they are thiiiis close to producing, even under covid conditions.

looks like MUX is still shut down due to covid, explaining price suppression, BUT they will have their gold bar mine up to full production by end of september, so we could see some good new there and with earnings in oct, I still think this stock will at least go back to its pre corona level which is substantially higher then right now.

To some extent this is correct, however there is a period of time after inflation begins in earnest and before the economy truly collapses into hyperinflation that everyone should sell some gold for dollarydoos and use those to buy a few trucks, an excavator, a lot of hand tools, refurbish their shop, rebuild their fences, buy ammo, etc. The people who sell some at that point will get very good deals and will be able to protect their stacks and feed their families until it all gets put back together again.

With the loan I repay it over the next 5 years, so I basically consider it the same as 'save an extra $325 bucks a paycheck for the next 5 years investing in shit' except I get all the money upfront now.

The only downsides to taking out a 401k loan are listed as BuT U MiSs PoTeNtIaL GaInZ and frankly I don't see the next 5 years of stock market being very good gains. Have any of you bought copper rounds before? I picked up like 10 for 20$ just for fun, that included shipping +tax. Obviously at 20$ its not worth it from an investment point of view and a total rippoff. Copper would have to literally go from 2.92 to 15$ for you to make money.
From a shtf scenario would copper rounds be better bargaining than sliver for smaller items though.
Also couldn't silver go from 3.06 now to 15$ is that really out of the realm of possibility? Its risen pretty steadily since 1980s

It would be fun to bring them to a reenactment and try to spend them.

Copper rounds at $2 an ounce is just retarded.

Labor day held up the mail so today I got to see what eBay scores the lazyass USPS had to bring me. After breaking down the weighted sugar/creamer and knives I got basically an even 1,100 grams of sterling, total cost $507, spot value currently $875, an amount of silver which would cost normies a solid grand retail. Not the best deals I've had but still sufficient margins for significantly below-spot refined and returned ingots. Scrapping is pretty based desu.

most of the big time bullion retailers listed in the OP have pretty accurate spot price at the top of the page.
gold and silver easy to liquidate, there's a coin/bullion shop everywhere and a lot of jeweler stores buy coins and bars but always call and ask how close to spot price they pay; they'll usually ask how much you're selling b/c if you're selling a large amount they'll probably sell you at spot. If you're just liquidating a small portion of your stack for some quick cash most coin shops around be pay 3% under spot for silver for smaller amounts.

>buy
Bullion dealers in OP >>22327193
bullion means coins, rounds, and bars made of precious metals (gold, silver, platinum), just to store the value of the metal. this is as opposed to numismatic coins, which are for historical, aesthetic, or rarity value (and often cost more than the melt value of the metal)

>check price
google is good enough
but it's also under news in OP
kitco.com/market or monex.com/liveprices have live prices, but there's many more
prices are usually in US dollars (or your currency) per troy ounce

>easy to sell back?
usually yes with dealers. easier with local dealer than with online, but either works. reputation of the dealer is most important. always expect them to make a small profit from selling to you, and a small profit from buying back from you (they have to make a living), so you have to wait for large changes to make gains.

>protect against inflation or make money?
depends on the person. others may take it up from here.
keep in mind metal prices change very slowly in normal times (5-20 years) so it's a long-term game. we're in exceptional times, so it's very unstable (could go either way, as always), but it's rarely like that.
