22296765 No.22296765 [Reply] [Original]

I was checking Chainlink's Github today and it looks like the contracts for staking were implemented in Arbitrum...7 months ago...you won't find this in the normal Chainlink repo, I had to find these in the Arbitrum repo they recently made public 3 days ago. I think maybe they forgot to make these files private.

I was thinking this as well, however it says "LINK staking" which is clearly referring to the LINK token

Yes you need to put down a penalty deposit for Arbitrum, but I don't think they would call this staking, as you can see for the Link token on the Matic Network they don't refer to tokens deposited as staked but minted - I know these are a bit different but I doubt they would refer to penalty deposits as staking. In other places in the code they reference deposits as well and not staking generally

At the very least, if you are correct and this is referring to staking LINK as a penalty deposit for Arbitrum, then you realize that this means Chainlink is a crucial component of Arbitrum - Arbitrum nodes will have to stake LINK in order to ensure they come to agreements about each block, and if they don't they will get slashed AND ALSO you will have Chainlink nodes staking LINK to ensure their data is correct.

So basically, if this does not mean LINK staking for Chainlink nodes, it's even more bullish because it means LINK will need to ALSO be staked for Arbitrum nodes....this is huge

Arbitrum is the solution to the spam attack we saw a few days ago. It’s a sublayer solution that goes around ethereum gas costs and allows each chain to communicate with offchain information via the chainlink network. So if a smartcontract user wants to execute their contract they will do so through arbitrum/chainlink. Chainlink will reach consensus, then send to whatever chain is cheapest or specified, that blockchain will execute settlement and send back to chainlink.

im talking about the newtwork using you tard. No coins are minted form LinK staking, and it is not braindead staking like we have now when you click "claim rewards: on binance you fucking milk bottle brain.

You actually have to do work, find an API which is unique, otherwise contribute, constantly with up time and a great reputation to EARN some payment, which is actually valuable to the person paying for it in the real world.

See my point? most people wont even be able to participate because they have nothing of value to offer no matter if they have 1 link or 1 million link. If they have no data to provide and maintain its moot.

Unlike EVERY staking service now which is "own x amount and be a validator to mint new worthless token which nobody wants or need or asked for"

You will NOT be able to "claim rewards" each month on binance with Link. You fucking idiot clearly have no idea what you are talking about

This is just expected atm, but not confirmed. although, its a reasonable assumption.

However, obviously those Neet nodes will need impeccable uptime and reliability which is not possible on a home computer setup or a home server with an ordinary ISP service.

So i think its technically out of reach for a lot of Neets without a pool or investing heavily into equipment and hosting their node in a location which is not prone to outages which may be far away from where they live.

lots to consider. but again, its a good thing. Makes the network and the work done worth something. its not brainless send to wallet and earn tokens which nobody needs

Just buy another 5,450. 6k is the make it stack. You need at least 10k usd/wk without having to work to feel like a baller. Get your stack up to 6k asap. I can only see us crabbing at $10-20 for another 6 or 7 weeks at the most. That figure goes out the window if any announcements are made and you know how that creep from baseline can be. He was sporting an erection the entire talk at smartcon. The only thing holding his tongue was the ndas. He's gonna sing like a canary the second it's lifted.

Sergey Nazarov comes very close to perfection. There are virtually no flaws in his facial appearance.

He has perfect maxillofacial growth which becomes evident from the zygomatic arches that project wide and are round in shape in the tipping points. The nose is perfect: straight nasal septum indicates the face hasn't grown vertically more than it should at any point in developmental time so it doesn't appear hooked, it is also devoid of any obscure mal/formations, crookedness or deviation

He has near perfect dentofacial growth. While he has gotten some dental aid with orthodontics (evident from the appearance of his top central and lateral incisors+canines), his bite is perfect. You can tell this by looking at his lip posture, which is affected by the position of the mandible, and anyone will agree that it looks nice and balanced. The mandible is in an ideal position which means there's no malocclusion, and malocclusions have an enormous impact on the aesthetic appearance of the face. This is rare because with modern [western] diet and the rapid increase of allergies, it is extremely hard for most males to develop a nice looking jaw (not to mention that you need the appropriate testosterone levels and genetics to develop one). Lots of males that would normally develop a jaw similar to Nazarov's don't, because of mouth breathing or improper masticatory usage (the diet is too soft). It takes a perfect growing environment on top of good genes and hormone profile to develop a balanced facial structure like Nazarov's, and that's leaving out the individual features like the eye area, which in Nazarov's case is unique in itself. Now combine all this with the fact that he is over 6'2''. A good looking face with pretty features is hard to achieve when given a tall skeletal build. Most guys that you see with really pretty or handsome faces are 5'9'' to 5'11'', i.e. average height.

fellow stinky linkies, material gains can be exciting, but would you be interested in entrance to Heaven after you die?

Mark 8:36 says
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

I'm sure many of you linkies will be very rich on earth, but your soul and your eternal fate is much more important. You can also work for God after you receive the free gift of eternal life and get heavenly gains as well which is eternal. Matthew 6 says...

19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

It's also once saved, always saved, because you can't lose eternal life, it's supposed to go on forever.

Ask Jesus to save you if you believe the pic related (the gospel)

I'm actually more qualified to talk about this than most anons.I'm employed with a cyber-techno machinations company, I do a lot of security analyst programming type work. Open source, decentralized, APIs, partnerships, you name it. We'd be one of the first companies in line for something like Chainlink, if the decentralized smart contract space had more value over traditional data exchanges. There's a catch though, an underlying flaw more deeply embedded in the bedrock of LINK than the very code itself. The flaw is with the concept, and it's this: Companies won't actually go through the hassle of trusting their data API's through crypto.
Now I can already hear your keyboards going frantic, but hear me out. /biz/ hates banks, and traditional data providers. But actual companies, businesses, and investors do not. There's an old saying you might have heard of: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!". The idea that any of our bosses would give us the go ahead if we approached them to put our companies valuable data in a smart contract on a cryptocurrency called Chainlink, that they've never heard of, we'd be laughed out at best and fired on the spot at worst. We already have API data buyers and providers we trust.
'But Chainlink is trustless!' I hear you cry, but is that really a good thing? Just listen to the sound of it. Businesses don't want to spend millions of dollars on something that is trustLESS, they want something trustFUL. 'But the reputation system!', doesn't that defeat the whole point of your coin? If companies only trust nodes with high reputation, what's the difference between trusting banks and data providers that already have reputation, but in real life not on a computer screen.
The fact is, LINK is going to share the same fate as ETH will. A lot of 'real world application' hype, with a lot of 'crypto world application' reality. Only, this billion supply coin isn't going to come close to the $1k that Etherum hit. Happy gambling though anons.
