If. You buy at 16$ for 5k and buy another 5k at 8$ and r it recovers back to 16$ you're gains are 5k and you and up with 15k. At that point you can just extract your original investment and hodl forever.

If you bought a new 10k at 16 and just HODL until recovery, you just make your money back and end up at 0.

It's absolutely retarded to go all in ever. If you're not sure, always split your investments. And at best do it more times. It's called cost average effect
