Why do Normies not care about Crypto?

>> No.22233694

I'm a normie, just got into crypto and look what the fuck is happening. That's why we don't care, because it's too risky.

>> No.22233723

Here's the scoop, most normies don't have money to invest because they use it to enjoy life rather than living in a basement.

Short term thinking + not being primed by the media. Look to 2017. All the normies were trying to get into Bitcoin once CNBC and shit started shilling it. Now that that is not happening, they dont care.

We were all normies to crypto once. What do you expect from assets that literally triple in weeks/months bitcoin was $3800 in march. You can't just go up forever, 20-40% drops are unpredictable and always happen, just hold it and grace some balls and try not to buy the absolute top and stop looking at your portfolio. I literally don't even look at mine anymore, I'm desensitized to it.

>> No.22234416

Normies are conventional. At this stage, there is nothing conventional about cryptocurrencies. They lack the ability to envision what the technology has to offer for society at large, they fail to grasp the problematic nature of the current financial system. Normies blend in, copy their surrounding, most people do not invest in crypto so normies do not either. Normies are risk-averse and would rather be stagnant/stable than risking flailing backward.

Are you retarded?
Volatility does not equal risk.
If you are convinced from your pick and think longterm, then you should not care.

Normies don't think they can make any money outside of working a job and owning a house for 10 years. They are scared of the stock market and crypto and when they have enough courage to enter because all of their friends are doing it the market inevitably crashes, confirming their fears. Normies are the people who buy at the top and sell qt the bottom never to return

Risky? Is everyone a gambling addict all of a sudden? Don't invest what you can't afford to lose anon. If throw a thousand into crypto make sure you're in it for the long haul, don't take out a second mortgage.

It's quite simple.
As philosopher AI said, life is an experience, and you can only have experiences if you are conscious.
Without consciousness there is no meaning.
Therefore, if you are not conscious then your life has no meaning.

A NPC does not have the ability to become conscious and can't make new experiences outside of what he already knows.

The problem with BTC and other payment coins is it's a pain to use. Want to send a friend some money or pay for something, let me just enter a 26 character address, use a converter to figure out how many decimals of bitcoin 50 bucks is, and wait up to an hour for confirmation times. I realize you can use QR codes and shit but imagine doing all that compared just sending money use venmo/paypal or using a credit card which is insured if you get hacked. Someone hacks your coins or you sent the wrong amount/never got your item, good thing you can't reverse payment.

just buy BTC for fuck sake
did you came here for easy 100X?
that's just survival bias in action, most of newfags waste money on crypto scam.
again, just buy BTC and hold for 5/6 years, end of next year it will be the top of the cycle probably, hold for another 4 years after that, end of 2025 mid of 2026 will be the end of next market cycle
hold until that point, profit
IT'S THAT EASY
don't get scammed with shitcoins flooding the market every day, they are just quick money grab
unless you spend countless our researching, reading smart contract code to avoid scams, checking who are the pajeets or not, unless you become so cold blooded to be able to trade or swing properly, it's not fucking worth it.
if you don't want to do it as a full time job, BUY THE FUCKING BTC

there are different risks to different investments.
if short yields are a 1, long yields a 2, stocks a 6 then crypto would be 50 or something. might as well play the lottery.

>they fail to grasp the problematic nature of the current financial system.
Lmao there's nothing problematic about the current financial system, sure it is unjust and it screws over the average joes but it's always been like this and will forever be. Crypto will not overthrow it, it's been a decade and nothing has happened, crypto is for people who want to get rich quick, it's a zero sum game to transfer money from one group of people to another, always has been, nobody cares about it otherwise (except monero pedos).

>Why yes and you better do it quick because gas prices can change at any time

>Yeah so the dev changed their dynamic wallet address on the exchange and didn't tell us so you're out the money you can go fuck yourself or try to ask the devs if they'll even respond
>Try to send some money from a wallet to another wallet
>Make a small mistake
>Yeah it's all gone nothing you can do about tough luck ;^)

Crypto in general relies on speculation. There's zero value to it and the fact that you can send shit to the wrong address by accident and then NEVER GET IT BACK is even worse. And you fags wonder why it hasn't taken off.

The gold price inflation adjusted. Now compare it to the BTC chart. There is not a big difference.
