If I sell the remainder of my poorolio I can afford the surgery I want, and to start a business on a shoestring budget.
If I hold and it continues to dump I can only afford to get the surgery or start the business.
If I hold and it goes up even another 30% in the next few months, I can get the surgery and will have a lot of capital to start my business correctly.
