1. Trump is doing everything in his power to get this market pumped rather it be via money printing or through corporate confidence.

2. When a Democrat becomes president they are going to expect corporate tax hikes.

Either way Trump does not care what the economy does after he's out, once he's out the market will go into a depression when all of this artificial pump comes to an end.

If you are just buying to hold 5-10 years, tomorrow is fine.

Not how decay works. If you hold until your entry price and sell, you get your money back. Decay is when the underlying goes down 3.333% and the 3x leveraged, which we'll say is worth $100, goes down around 10%. 3x leveraged then resets for the next day at $90. Underlying goes up 3.3333% next day and 3x leveraged goes up 10% from that morning's price to $99. So even though the underlying erased its loses the 3x leveraged is still down a dollar.

That is only a small part of the picture. What the fed did in 2009, and what QE clearly only does, is save the stock market. It didn't save the economy. All it did was put money into the really wealthy classes that had much of their wealth in stocks.
Think about how loud and consistent anxiety about housing costs, education costs, health costs, oil/energy costs, and childcare costs have been getting since 2008? The Fed basically stamped out everyone that didn't own equities and hid it by their carefully massaged internal inflation statistics. None of this money made it to the common Joe, but the prices did.
TARP was orchestrated daylight robbery of the middle class. It gave birth, and I think rightfully so in many ways, to "Berniebros" and Tea Party asshats (in addition to Citizens United). It abandoned all pretexts of doing anything but create the corporate welfare state and it does not surprise me in the slightest that we have gigantic megap companies now. No i really don't, that's why I'm using my 401(k) as a cash backstop and almost all of my liquid funds outside of it to secure resources and equities that I think will make it (almost all in on PM). I'm rather upset tbqh. I only like target 2025 because performed ok in march, the bond fund is probably going to get propped up by the fed, and windsor ii is some gay amalgamation of dividend paying large caps starting with kikerosoft apple and alphabet (VWNFX).

There is objectively no where else to put money right now. Small businesses are dying, large ones aren't expanding, bond yields are negative in real terms. There isn't enough asset liquidity in the real estate market for the market makers to put their money. We may dump for a few more days (in fact I'm almost positive today wasn't the bottom) but money will rotate back into the stock market and tech will begin its climb once again in a week or so. We probably won't see a rotation out of tech until at least November when vaccine shit is slated to be out (not taking that shit, fuck you bill gates). Stuff like airlines and cruises will pick up steam in anticipation of recovery.

This is assuming the stock market thinks Trump is going to win. If bets are on Biden we will see a steady decline in the market starting in October. Although regardless of your political opinion, even with corona and the real economy in the dumpster, Biden is such an uninspiring candidate that there's a slim chance he wins so I think the market will bet on Trump.

buying and holding is a tried and true strategy assuming the market will go up over time. buying and holding TQQQ will do the same thing and promises excellent gains over the years if you believe that tech will continue to grow (maybe not at the insane post march rate, but still stay green over the next decade)
i personally am not betting against amazon, facebook, nvidia, apple, tesla (long term), google, or microsoft in the long term. these companies are only going to get bigger and more valuable. with that idea in mind, buying and holding TQQQ over the course of a decade is a no brainer
