So I'd say I did pretty well, although I lost 1-2k in potential profits because of my hasty actions.

I inherited some farm land in 2008 when the market was extraordinarily high.

I sold it last fall for a large paper loss

I can carry that loss against any gains for the next 7 years.

Plus, capital gains taxes are your regular tax rate or 20% so just pay them. I am in the 25% tax rate so if I didnt have the losses, I'd be paying 20%

However, I took my original investment (about $700) back to my bank acct. The rest in in the Coinbase account.
