Its just liquidity provide rewards on steroids. It’s almost always a ponzi scheme, especially if there’s no limit on token minting for rewards. They fundamentally operate on new money constantly coming in. They inevitably die because as new money comes in, staking reward rates get shittier and shittier, so farmers dump their yields and leave, causing the price to dump hard. APY’s recover to a lesser degree than the price dump, some new farmers/money come back (but less than the first wave) and pump to a lesser degree, and the cycle repeats until the token slowly bleeds to death.
However, if you get in early and either sell the top as a holder or stake enough for farming yields to consistently beat inflation, you can make retarded money.
