I bought sub 70 cents and held for about a month through negative rebases. Two days of positive rebases put my AMPL stack up and over the original amount, yesterday's rebase put my firmly in the green even after the sell-off. We're still getting a positive rebase tonight so I'm probably buying more.

The supply moons not the price. Your % of the network stays the same so as market cap grows so does your stack of ample, even as the price drops to equilibrium.

Yes spot on! New tokens would create sell pressure to try to bring the price down to the 1 dollar mark, though you would essentially double your investment though because for example if it is at 300m market cap now at 1.33 to get to 600m mc it would pretty much mean tokens would be valued at 2.66..

Though there is something called supply smoothing so if for example the average price of the last 24 hours tomorrow before rebase is 1.50; it will not now mint 50% tokens instead that number is divided by 10 ideally to keep it from going insanely volitile.. ie. 5% positive rebase. If you for example are a swing trader you could use this opportunity to swing because not only will you have more coins but they are worth more than the peg which incentiveses you to sell.. Though the opposite happends on the flip side also and there us buy pressure under 1 dollar..

If you are holding than it is fine also because even though its volitile right now if you DYOR and understand this coin has big potential and could be an ideal money because it solves inflation and can also be used as a hard money..

Its the opportunity for arbitrage which keeps it volitile now though but the higher it goes the less room you have which will eventually make it a stable coin, it also offers thimgs like liquidity on demand and prevents boom and bust economic cycles if this thing works out... i hope that helped.

Dumb people watch the price fall to $1 then buy more.
Dumb people watch the price fall to 50 cents then sell.
Smart people wait on a week of negative rebases then start buying again.

Though in my first paragraph i am assuming you are talking about before the rebase; after the rebase price may go down a little but if it increases in demand than it will go higher again or stagnate, so i guess you will have

You're misunderstanding. Every rebase, the amount of coins in your wallet changes at the same rate as the rebase, so your total share of the market cap stays the same. You shouldn't be worried or even thinking about the price of the coin but instead about your share of the market cap. The price of the coin is only used to calculate the rebase rate
