Ah, maybe it was a failed transaction.
But I always thought your coins are still there until the transaction clears/fails.
Maybe it depends on the reason the transaction failed though
But ive never used CB wallet, I only use uniswap/metamask

I keep my wallet on a separate phone that only went online to create the private key and send myself the public address. Is that safe enough?

>> No.22108028

>>22107915
I honestly think it's a coinbase wallet/uniswap issue. I've had something similar happen where I thought my money was outright gone. What had really happened is the transaction was just stuck on pending and eventually dropped off. Then the Ethereum randomly showed back up later. Really hoping that is what happened with this dude. I would be very unhappy if something happened to my coinbase wallet.

they mean a failed swap. read the contract, here it says it "optimistically" transfers tokens. that means that it's doing the initial swapping before it can actually be "allowed" per se. why the fuck they do this I don't know.

Just wanted to make it known that Coinbase is secure. Even if its run by Jews, they don't want to ruin the reputation. My Goybase wallet is what I use to buy ETH and send to uniswap/metamask to buy shitcoins(although not right now, I'm not paying though fucking gas prices, I'm not rich enough yet), and I keep my stinkies SECURE in Jewbase.

While where on the topic I took a QR shoot of my Coinbase BTC receive wallet code; to send some BTC from my Huobi wallet. Found out that Huobi sent it to some unknown to me address. Only downside is the different addresses for different crypto(although this is probably an added layer of security), so make sure to check the addresses and don't be lazy and use QR code shoots.

Ok ok ok, dont go too hard on me, I figured it out with the weird 215$ transaction, I was trying to get some of my other throwaway money to metamask, but forgot that my cb wallet was connected to it, leading to me seeing 215 bucks being deposited out of nowhere on CB wallet

The problem is still there with the YFV dissappear, so I either got hacked or CB themselves took the fucking thing
Think I'm just gonna go to sleep now, I'm tired and I've spent the entire night extremely stressed, thanks who helped

doing action X "optimistically" in programming terms describes a compromise in user experience:

Scenario A: For most users, doing action X early is a better user experience, but for a few users, like OP, doing X early will cause confusion.

Scenario B: do X pessimistically (probably later), and every user will have a sub-par/slightly confusing experience.

The Uniswap devs have determined that Scenario A is preferable to Scenario B, so they execute swaps "optimistically."

The individual transactions succeeded, but the entire "swap" process was clearly reversed.

Why even connect Metamask or uniswap to Coinbase? Just send Eth from CB. hopefully this will result in less taxes. But probably not. In other words just connect metamask to uniswap and use Coinbase as a ETH sender and fiat depositor. Or maybe not I suppose, once you've sent ETH to metamask you've created a record. Fml

>> No.22109034

>>22108914
also if you get caught in a 'transaction action processing' predicament on uniswap, just view the etheracan log link of the transaction to tell you what's really happening. In most cases the transaction has failed and you could retry at the low shitcoin price you are trying to buy, but SOONER.
