not him but here's why I agree with him:
1) there WILL be a second wave, and just like the spanish flu, it will be much worse and much more deadly, lockdown will be more extreme and small businesses who have been bleeding out will die
2) while the market COULD ignore that and pump higher, the only people acting like it will never crash are mostly high on the fact they made so much off the March dump. Now, ask yourself, who really benefits the most from another "crash" and stands to gain the most from it, and would be motivated to encourage/allow another one after seeing the huge bull run after March? See, unlike retards with ~500k and under portfolios found here, the mms and billionaires made easy 10-100xs and will be chomping at the bit to do so again, unlike the risk-averse middle class larpers who think "oh no they wouldn't want to lose these gains like I've made!"

>I immediately start staring at the market like a hawk

I'm probably too brainlet to see how this could go wrong, but it seems right to me. Only downside would be if my stop loss happened to be the absolute bottom, then I'd just rebuy all of my sold stocks at a small loss as they go back up, but that small loss seems worth the safety

if you get kicked out prematurely, you leave yourself vulnerable to either
FOMOing back in at a higher price (-10% pullback followed by a +30% rally, meanwhile you were just staring at the chart wondering if it was just a deadcat bounce or not) or fucking up on trying to catch a falling knife (bought in at first deadcat bounce only for it to bleed downwards more).

i'd rather just using stop losses based on my price targets or whatever other exit strategy I have planned. For example, right now I have no stop losses on TSMC since I have a 3-year outlook on it and I'm not putting a stop loss on it until it hits at least $150 after 3 years.
After 3 years I'm a bit more skeptical on the semiconductor industry because moore's law might be completely dead by then and I wouldn't mind getting kicked out of my hold unless there's more optimistic developments with TSMC's roadmap at that time.

I have a bunch of calls for 2021 January (that's what my friends at work recommended) and I'm already up by like $30,000! I just don't see how anything can go wrong. For reference I've never touched a put in my investing career (been 3 months) because betting on things down is for losers. If you zoom out on the whole market, it really only goes up over time. So yeah, you can say I'm a new retard investor but I just don't see the point in worrying about stuff dropping because the world population is always growing, and that means there's always another person to use Amazon or Microsoft computers or other technology stuff. Card 2: What you want most right now »
The Chariot
The cards suggest that what you most want at this time is success, to win and to never give up the fight.

You are successful and assertive in most things, or if you haven't quite got the success you want, you will get it.

This is a time of movement and change - expect a journey relating to work, or if you really want that car you've been dreaming about, go get it!

Card 4: What is going for you »
Justice
There is a karmic power to the Justice card, reward for the good deeds you have done in the past.

This is a period of good luck even if you don't know why you are being so favoured.

You will approach any issues concerning relationships or business affairs with calm, balanced logic and any claim will go in your favour.

Card 5: What is going against you »
The World
As always, fear holds us back and so often leads to missed opportunities.

Do not give up or change direction this late in the game just because you have experienced delays.

Stick with your plan, have faith and trust the universe, and you will reach the successful conclusion you are wanting.

Card 6: The likely outcome »
The Sun
The Sun is shining on you - it's your time for success, joy and happiness. You will feel confident and full of vitality.

It's a time to celebrate with friends and loved ones, perhaps enjoy a well-earned holiday, a time of pleasure and good news around children or the conception or birth of a longed-for baby.

If you are not feeling this way take heart, you will enter this period soon.

honestly I'd recommend just DCAing into QQQ for now until there's an obvious dip or consolidation to more safely enter TQQQ into. A -3% correction on QQQ translates to almost a -10% dip on TQQQ and that'll feel bad.

btw TSMC might be done consolidating soon, overbought levels but it just crabbed sideways instead of dipping hard, love this shit.

the key is strong fundamentals and the money printer. as long as those hold true for tech and the FED im fine with holding if i buy cheapies 5 different times and it's still dipping for awhile. we hit a circuit breaker even once and that all goes out the window and i immediately exit my positions though, even if for a loss. im happy to wait but if that happens i have to reevaluate everything immediately.

that shouldn't matter, it's about position sizing and standard deviations for me. so the dip has to be relative to the mean of the trading range for the previous week. also i'll keep an eye on it but i have watchlists (right now just FAAGTMANN and some financials) that i watch the 5 D 5m charts on to see if there are any dips.
