There are many different reasons why prices rise. One of them is the rising pandemic of regulation and bureaucratic faggotry. Lot's of people dropped out of work recently but food demand is still about the same. => shit if supply/demand
It's only inflation when prices rise because of increasing money supply. Banks are not lending. All the fed money goes down a dead end.

We have massive inflation, though. The money supply is being blown out by the Fed, and it doesn't much matter if the average schlub is getting a loan for a new car so much as the businesses over leveraging themselves. Hyperinflation is a 100% certainty at this point because there is no longer any way to combat it. Rates can't be lowered any more, and if they raise them even a little (which they said they won't do for 5 years) it will cause a cascade of defaults that crashes the economy.

There is no way out of this debt trap that doesn't involve a total collapse of the USD,. the USD's hyperinflation, hot war with China, or a replacing of the USD with a DigiDollar.

> This time we skipped the slow burn upward which took 2 years from $8 to $18 and then suddenly spike to 30, correct and then spiked to $50
> we spiked to $30 and corrected, now comes the spike to $50
The fed was slowly rolling out their policies and silver slowly reacted, this time the fed is running full force from day 1 and so is the silver price run, I could definitely see this run continuing to at least $50, we could even get a correction at $50 and then a 3rd spike to $100

This isn't about the average slub. Corporate debt is seperate from the Fed anyway. Where's the hyperinflation of the eurozone then? They have negative yield for quite a while but don't have the advantage of being reserve currency.

>> No.21986454

>>21986268
Not anymore. The fed is buying corporate debt now.
The Fed is also the competition, if short term gov debt is, for example, 0.3% at supposedly zero risk, corporate debt only has to have slightly higher yields as they are seen as riskier.
For a corporation like Amazon which is seen as almost risk free they can get as much debt as they want at 0.4% with 2%+ inflation, it is free money for the big corps and even high risk companies take on debt at way too low of yield to account for their risk.
It's absolute insanity.

Idk what you will do once you get past half of those rounds. And when your house burns down or a break in happens you are fucked.

I rate the chance of these things happening way higher than a riot breaking out without warning, or armed military people materializing out of thin air in rural Bavaria.

There was an article in the nytimes recently. Banks have been stealing or losing the contents of safe deposit boxes and the customer has no recourse. It’s your word against theirs. I wouldn’t trust a safe deposit box for anything other than legal papers or jewelry etc worth less than 30k. They can literally just steal from you. 20 years ago working at a bank was a respectable job. Now go to your local branch and take a good look. It’s like one or two steps above CVS cashier.

>> No.21990471

>>21990350
Also be aware, if you put a safe in your house anyone who sees the truck deliver it, or sees it in your house, believes you have something worth stealing. Be careful and think twice about it. If you live in a hunting state consider getting a quality gun safe. Guns can still attract criminals but it’s easier to explain (I have a shotgun and feel safer having it locked up) than if you have a regular safe. The only thing you put in a regular safe is money or metal.

>reposting from last night for more opinions

I need your help guys.

My father has $170,000 in a safety deposit box in cash at the bank kek.

I finally convinced him to accept gold and silver into his life...almost. I tried a couple months ago and he immediately dismissed the idea claiming "Cash is king son!" and other boomer tier logic. I gave up since I was still new and browsing /pmg/ myself and in the process of accumulating my own stack. I talked to him recently and he wants to go to an LCS and browse some bullion sites but he needs the final push on why to buy gold and silver. I have a few talking points but I would like some quick and easy effective things I could mention to him. He doesnt even need to convert all of it to metal maybe like 15% idk.

He sold a lot of really rare comics over the years at some shows and saved it. With all the money printing the fed is doing I feel uneasy about him keeping straight cash and the whole cash in king mentality. I dont want him to think it was all a mistake because spot drops for a while before the inevitable bull run.

Also do LCS need ID or anything when making large purchases? Do they report it? I never made a big purchase in person before. Idk what is considered big anyway.

If you have a lot, or access to a lot, it can be worth it. You'll need a decent amount of outdoor but covered space, like an open garage with a big fan. You'll also end up with a bunch of acids you'll need to neutralize and dispose of properly. If your waste center has a "take everything for free" day where you can dump it all at once, that makes it easier. You'll need some basic chemistry knowledge, you can read guides online, if you passed HS chemistry and are careful you can pull it off.

are they PCBs, or do you have old ICs?

I have only sold some coins to my LCS once, never a purchase, and they didn't ask for an ID or anything. They just counted the coins, tested them, and handed over the sweet cash. I believe their sales are the same way cash for coins and no real paper trail.

All l know is that l have at least 6 broken smartphones, 2 broken laptops, an outdated cracked ipad (that still works), a couple of loose ram sticks from my previous PC build and an old IBM desktop (that l know for sure still works perfectly fine). All of which has been laying around my house accumilating over years.
Im wondering if it's worth the gamble to waste my time and energy tearing all of it up to salvage any gold components from them and keeping them.

Mine was not the only safe at auction. In fact, mine was by far the smallest. There was a 6' tall safe about 1/4 again as wide and just as deep as mine. Must have weighed ~5,000lbs. Took four of us and a lot of effort just to wheel it onto the street. Luckily, the guy who purchased it owned an autobody shop so he brought his flatbed to take it away. Took another hour for it to be winched up and tied down to the flatbed. I think he got it for ~$30

Moloch is such an interesting concept though. Many ideas tied together. The demanding god who always calls for extremely difficult sacrifices.

Isn't that the way of the world? You have to sacrifice everything of yours, in the end. And the cow? The domesticated animal so closely tied to permanent and semi-permanent settlements and agriculture...

What does it say that an animal of civilization like the cow is always demanding the highest of sacrifices?

Is there a warning there about the sacrifices required by civilization? A message about the evils of Babylon?

Thanks guys, I've always collected coins in the past so naturally I was drawn to ASEs. The canadian maple leafs look good too. Also I'm not opposed to bars either so I'll have a look at the links in the op.

Just go for the lowest premium. US bullion always seem to come with a higher premium compared to everyone else for some reason.

I have one 10oz bar right now and I am honestly not very pleased with it. I may buy more but I am not sure. its convenient but for larger amounts of money I think I rather buy a gold coin instead.
The bars just don't feel like treasure the same way a heap of coins do.

im pretty happy with my kilo bar, it feels nice and hefty. 10 ounce bar doesn't do much for me either.

No teaching. Happened to get lucky and decide to start buying physical. Bought 8 oz. 5 at the cheapest and 3 that I liked aesthetically.

Once I uad them in my hand I was hooked.

Spent the next month scoping every mint for the rounds I found attractive. I was lucky to get in before the push to $29. Its not just a money thing for me. Once I saw the craftsmanship and beauty of these things it gave me a fever. Now I want rounds from every mint.

I have a feeling you won't be able to part with some of those very easily, however, which may become a liability at some point in the future, but that is one of the cleanest, most efficient stacks I have ever seen.

My dad used to do it as a hobby, he's extracted a few ozs of pure gold, its only worthwhile if you can get a ton of computer boards for cheap. And its a lot of work cutting off all the small pins and opening connectors .

I got 20 lbs of ram sticks I'm sitting on
